Times of Trouble was written in 1985 for solo flute and Piano during this period of the composers life he saw that being sad is not always a terrible thing. It makes you think, absorb, slow done and this sometimes lead to a period of personal creativity. The  music  reminds you  to change things but sometimes this change  may not be in your control.  The Composition reflects this with it ever flow of line between the piano and flute with it Jazzy and impressionist harmonies finally ending in a final moment of hope.
