The 2nd clt part has been transposed up an octave from the original bassoon part, but in other places left alone , to avoid any cross over of parts. The bass clarinet part is a straihtforward transcription from the bassoon part. It works well as a clarinet duet.

This trio composed in 1801 for two violas and cello has been arranged for two clarinets in Bb & bassoon or cello. It has been undeservedly ignored because the original trio combination never really 'caught on'. The four movements, Allegro moderato, Andantino grazioso, Menuetto & Trio and Rondo a la Burlesca  provide advanced intermediate players and above with a gem of a concert piece.  The final movement is a homage to Mozart  (cf. Rondo a la Turka) and concludes with a lovely quote from the Magic Flute.
