This is an exuberant jazzy song from the 1989 Broadway musical City Of Angels with music by the great Cy Coleman and Lyrics by David Zippel. This song, in a very jazzy style,  was originally is a fun lament of two women about their men who won’t listen to them. This version is sung by men and causes the meaning to be slightly shifted so that the men say how they don’t understand the women and how they do the things mentioned in the song - Only the pronouns have been flipped from the original. This is in the style of the original Broadway arrangement and in the original Broadway key. This arrangement can also be purchased with just the RHYTHM PACK that contains the Piano/Vocal, Guitar, Bass, Drums Parts  or just the PIANO/VOCAL part if you don’t need the full orchestration. This arrangement is also available in the original FEMALE version. Other similar arrangements from DIAMOND S MUSIC available at: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/diamond-s-music/6940

Piano,Voice Duet Piano,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1009002 Composed by William Ortiz. 20th Century,Contemporary. 39 pages. William Ortiz #6369967. Published by William Ortiz (A0.1009002). The text for “La Décima Musa†(2016) for Soprano, Mezzo and Piano, written by Amaya E. Ortiz, is inspired and influenced by the life and work of the Mexican poet Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. Sor Juana Inés (1651-1695) was a controversial figure that defended women’s rights to education and was censured. Her defiance towards the Catholic Church at the time, led to all her books being confiscated. She has been since named “La Décima Musa†and has also been known as “El Phoenix de Méxicoâ€. The work is divided musically into ten sections of different character, each one preceded by a vocalized or brief instrumental interlude introducing each verse of the poem. The piece begins with a subtle, serene and contemplative vocalize in the tonality of F mayor and continues it’s musical discourse through modulations, rhythmic changes and imitative polyphony. The music reflects to a certain degree the neo baroque styling of the text, which in turn mirrors Sor Juana’s muse. The text transmits to me a phantasmagorical message that contains a great variety of metaphors and profound sentiment. I try to transform those words and thoughts into emotions and sensibilities through the miracle of what is music.

Piano,Voice Duet Piano,Soprano voice,Tenor Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1088422 Composed by Antonio Gervasoni. Classical,Contemporary. 50 pages. Antonio Gervasoni #692687. Published by Antonio Gervasoni (A0.1088422). Mini-opera for soprano, tenor and piano. I've wanted to write a piece based on Twain's Diaries of Adam and Eve ever since I read it. I always thought that the story had great potential to write a little opera buffa, and when I came across it by chance while tidying up a bookshelf, the idea came back to me and this time I finally decided to make it a reality. I have used only a few sentences from Twain's book and arranged them in such a way as to produce a workable libretto. For the most part, I've kept everything intact, except for a few words that I've taken the liberty of contract (for example, it's instead of it is; that's instead of that is). Also, in Eve's last entry, I changed every wife to everyone, as I want her words to refer to all human beings and not just women.

Piano,Voice Duet Piano,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.955898 Composed by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin. Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. Contemporary. 9 pages. Scott S. Stewart #6882583. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.955898). Aren’t You Kind of Glad We Did? is an unused George Gershwin song recycled posthumously by brother Ira for the 1947 film The Shocking Miss Pilgrim (Dick Haymes and Betty Grable) – a story about the Women’s Suffrage movement of 1874, and equality in the workplace.  The film was a disappointment. This song didn’t get radio airplay (as recorded by Dick Haymes and Judy Garland) because censors inferred it had a too suggestive meaning.    This ‘trunk tune,’ however, found its way into the Great American Songbook. This arrangement is an (interactive conversational) duet for soprano and baritone with piano accompaniment.  Performance time: 3:38+-
