Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Soprano Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.588116

By David Cook. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. Score and parts. 5 pages. David McKeown #5303267. Published by David McKeown (A0.588116).

Eleanor Rigby first appeared on the Beatles’ 1966 album, Revolver. There has been much speculation over the identity of Eleanor Rigby, and a gravestone bearing that name has been discovered close to where Paul McCartney grew up in Liverpool. But Paul McCartney insists that he chose the natural-sounding name as a combination of a friend’s name and a shop he noticed in Bristol. Indeed, the original working title of the song was Miss Daisy Hawkins.

This version of Eleanor Rigby is arranged as a duet for one Soprano and one Alto Saxophone. The YouTube sample above is the Alto Saxophone version of this duet.

Musicians at an ï»¿intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes.

Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and expressive playing.
