This unique Spanish Theme was orignally written in 1701 by the French Baroque composer Marin Marais. This unique arrangement  is a duet for flute and clarinet. It has 23 variations using classical ornamentation rather than baroque options. Here it is for flute and clarinet in the new key of E minor. A score and separate parts for A Clarinet or Bb Clarinet and Solo flute are included.

Bach, in 1739, wrote the BWV 1054 Concerto in D major. Here it is written as a duet for Flute & Clarinet in the Key of D. This chart is based on Bach's keyboard concerto which he wrote for violin in the key of E (BWV 1042), but also arranged it himself in the key of D for keyboard (BWV 1054). Here it is presented for Flute and Clarinet in A (continuo part), which can also be used as concerto parts with the original BWV 1054 orchestra parts. The orchestra parts are not provided.

Arranged for an advanced flute and clarinet duet, with some challenging, but very rewarding lines. The theme is passed between both parts throughout the variations and the parts have an equal share of melody and ornamental style accompaniment. Perfect for a show-stopping performance piece.

Approx 14 mins, however the 2nd repeat of each variation may be omitted to shorten the piece.
