Originally for violin and figured bass accompaniment, this Presto comes from Giuseppe Tartini's Sonata in g minor, Op.1, no. 10.  Known by the name Didone Abbandonata the sonata is a counterpart to Tartini's famous Devil's Trill.  This arrangement for viola duet keeps the solo line in the first viola and accompaniment in the second.  For added interest performers can switch parts on each repeat.
