Trombone Duet Trombone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.799957 Composed by Brad Carman. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk,Standards. Score. 54 pages. Brad Carman #5988531. Published by Brad Carman (A0.799957). Schnoodles Flex Duet Repertoire for Band is a collection of 32 easy duets that can be played by any two wind or keyboard players or group of players; including full band! Following in the footsteps of Schnibbles for Two, these duets offer variety, fun, and encourage creative expression and musical experimentation. This duet book asks the student to consider multiple interpretations, and making connections to other art forms, such as visual art, creative writing, and dance. Used as a compliment to any band method, this collection helps to bridge the gap between unison playing and the more ambitious ensemble repertoire that requires both independence and sometimes extreme patience, especially for those that do not carry the melody. With Schnoodles, each part takes turns carrying and supporting the melody giving each player the opportunity to experience both roles simultaneously. While Schnoodles give each player a lot to play, they also give players some creative choices. None come with a prescribed tempo, and most allow students to determine the appropriate articulations and dynamics for the piece based on their abilities, preferences, and interpretations - and hopefully - guidance from a teacher! Players are encouraged to consult teachers and more experienced musicians as they ponder the possibilities of each petit little piece.

Trombone Duet Trombone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1287890 Composed by Marcos Fernandez-Barrero. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Film/TV. Score. 12 pages. Marcos Fernandez-Barrero #878977. Published by Marcos Fernandez-Barrero (A0.1287890). Written for the pupils of the chamber music course at the Conservatoire of Barcelona (Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona). The work evokes the several steps experienced in the process of self-reflecting, where one looks inward and examines his own emotional responses and behaviours to a given input, idea, decision, thought, etc.The scoring challenges both performers to interact to each other and negotiate the musical material; sometimes by passing the main thematic ideas on to each other, other times by build it together and other times to influence and alter each other. All of it so both sound sources melt into one single musical discourse which evolves and transforms every so often, as if mimicking the multiple decisions and thoughts one can take during a self-reflecting process. The motivation behind the composition of this work lies in the need to offer a repertoire with the demands and challenges present in the repertoire used in exam boards and conservatories but with a modern use of harmony and melody such as the one we can hear on television or in the cinema. So the harmonic language, the form, the compositional techniques and the use of rhythm, melody and articulation in this work presents a blend a current style present in American film music, television, musicals, Jazz or minimalism (with influences from composers such as Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, John Williams, Michael Nyman, or Hans Zimmer) with the type of writing, thematic treatment, piano technique and musical form found in the classical chamber music repertoire. Approximate duration: 3 mins.Written in Barcelona on April 2023.

Trombone Duet Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.589037 Composed by David McKeown. Concert,Latin,Standards,World. Score. 7 pages. David McKeown #5741753. Published by David McKeown (A0.589037). Mambo de Maya is an exciting original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for two Trombones. This duet is based on the fast, traditional Latin style of Mambo that emerged in Cuba in the 1930s. Later, when Mambo and its dance steps spread to Mexico and New York, hugely successful band leaders like Perez Prado and Tito Puente borrowed ideas from Big-Band Jazz and produced the bold and brassy sound we associate with Mambo today. If you play to an intermediate standard and upwards, then you and your audience will enjoy this piece. The steady Mambo bell rhythm is implied throughout, and following the precise articulation in the score will help convey the style. Melodies are clearly articulated and played with passion. Mambo de Maya has a performance time of around two and a half minutes at full tempo. Trombone Duet Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.591277 Composed by David McKeown. Easter,Latin,Pop,R & B,Rock. Score. 3 pages. David McKeown #6290881. Published by David McKeown (A0.591277). The Chocolate Chalypso is a fun and original duet written by David McKeown for two Trombones. Chocolate Chalypso is one in a series of ten Easter-themed duets each written in a different American dance style. In the late ‘50s just a handful of national TV shows in the US had a huge influence on the music and dance crazes of the time. Artists and dances came and went with dizzying speed. Chalypso was a short-lived craze in 1958 that combined the music of the new Rock’n’Roll with much-simplified steps borrowed from Cha Cha and Calypso; and no sooner had it caught on than it was itself supplanted by The Twist. Chocolate Chalypso is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above, with the accessible key and range balanced by some syncopated rhythms and accidentals. With a playing-time of around one and a half minutes, Chocolate Chalypso is a perfect upbeat addition to any performance program, formal or informal.
