Two people are playing a spirited games of marbles. The energetic music (Vivace) goes back and forth between the two players. Drama builds. Then an Andante Espressivo section as the victorious player pauses to admire the beauty of the striped marble he has just won. Then Round 2 in the dominant key and another striped marble in the bag. A Recapitulation and a Picardy Third conclude the game with satisfaction.  The notes and rhythms are quite easy.
