Instrumental Duet,Lever Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.803886 Composed by John Francis Wade. Arranged by Serena O’Meara. Christmas,Holiday,Renaissance,Sacred,Traditional. 12 pages. O'Meara Music #5325977. Published by O'Meara Music (A0.803886). There is confusion as to who is the exact composer of this melody. Perhaps it was an anonymous Cistercian Monk, or King John IV of Portugal (1604-1656), or John Reading (1645-1692) or John Francis Wade (1711-1786). The first published version of it was in 1751 by John Francis Wade, a Scottish scholar of plainchant so he is often given credit as its composer. This arrangement has three verses of increasing difficulty; each using harmonics in the quiet sections. The dynamics are clearly marked. The melody is divided evenly between parts. The easier Trio version can be played along with this duet version to give 5 parts. You will receive the Score, Harp I, and Harp II.
