Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.526297 Composed by Kurt Farquhar. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Contemporary,Film/TV,Pop. 3 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #6423867. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.526297). The King Of Queens is a much-beloved sitcom that aired from 1998-2007, following the adventures of a working-class couple living in Queens, NYC. Its fun and catchy theme song is really a love song from a husband to his wife, with lyrics like All I want to do...is drive right home to you, which is probably why I got asked to arrange this song for a wedding! It's a pretty specific request, but now if your client wants this song too you'll be all set! This arrangement for violin and cello includes a repeat and short extension at the end that makes the song about 1:15 in length instead of 30 seconds, so it can function as a vampable processional song or stand on its own. Rated advanced-intermediate for some tricky syncopated rhythms, but there's nothing too crazy here; both parts remain in first position throughout. This will be learnable for students and sightreadable for professionals. Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild†residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael Bublé, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world. Written, recorded, and released in 1959 by brothers Santo and Johnny Farina, Sleep Walk reached the top of the Billboard charts that year and has been popular ever since. A staple of the steel-guitar surf rock era, the beautiful instrumental ballad was later covered by a number of other artists, influenced a number of other songs, and even inspired Stephen King to write a screenplay! Originally written for a proposal, this arrangement for violin and cello duet brings to life the languid melodies, beautiful harmonies, and laid-back surf rock groove of the original for a chart that's just as much fun to play as it is to listen to. Rated intermediate; there are a handful of high notes and syncopated rhythms in the violin part, but overall this will be playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals. David McKeown #6020791. Published by David McKeown (A0.589296). Hava Nagila is a Hebrew Folk tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Cello.Hava Nagila was originally a Nigun melody thought to have originated in the Ukraine. In 1918 a professor and musicologist at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Abraham Zevi Idelsohn, set the tune to words adapted from Psalm 118. Hava Nagila was first performed at celebrations at the end of the Great War and quickly spread throughout the Jewish diaspora. In the fifties and sixties, performances by singers as diverse as Harry Belafonte and Bob Dylan popularised the song far beyond its original Jewish audience. Hava Nagila remains one of the best-known and loved Klezmer standards today, traditionally performed at Jewish celebrations.Hava Nagila is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. After a steady beginning, the melody gradually increases in tempo, with constant variations in the accompaniment. Hava Nagila is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of around two and a half minutes, this version of Hava Nagila is perfect for celebrations, weddings and concert performances, both formal and informal. Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1172250 Composed by Patrick Prejean. Classical,Contemporary. Score and parts. 30 pages. Patrick Prejean #772433. Published by Patrick Prejean (A0.1172250). Written for City Six Strings. This duet is for the founders of City Six Strings. I chose the title due to place I live and how I've been acclimated to each season. I - With boisterous character and despite all the rain, when spring comes it brings with it all the flowers and butterflies that can be seen.II - There is a reason why most good events happen during the summer with warm weather and no academia to worry about it is often the most productive time of the year.III - Depending on where you fall on the fall vs autumn label, this season brings sweater weather and all of the holidays people most enjoy. Whether it's loads of candy or a massive feast, fall/autumn always has something to provideIV - By far the worst season and especially after this year, I can say nothing good about it. I didn't title it simply winter but rather for the biting cold that grips my bones.

Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1488288 Composed by Ignaz Josef Pleyel. Arranged by Allan Badley. Classical. 47 pages. Artaria Editions #1065176. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1488288). Artaria Editions AE408Ignaz Pleyel (1757-1831) was at one time the most famous composer in the world. The popularity of his music eclipsed that of even his teacher Haydn and publishers vied to bring out his latest works as soon as they were finished. Some 2000 separate prints of Pleyel works had appeared by 1800 and his fame extended to every corner of Europe and as far afield as North America. Pleyel's career as a composer spanned less than thirty years with the majority of his works composed in the 1780s. He founded a successful publishing house in Paris in the mid-1790s and later began manufacturing keyboard instruments. With increasing demands on his time from his business concerns Pleyel's productivity as a composer dropped sharply and he ceased composing around 1805. Among the authentic chamber works the duos occupy a particularly interesting place. The Six Duos for Violin & Violoncello (Benton 501-506) appeared in over twenty editions in Pleyel's lifetime, the first in 1787, and in a variety of scorings. Although their unusual instrumentation undoubtedly contributed to the popularity of the Duos, their musical qualities - evidenced by the large number of contemporary arrangements - probably played a greater role. The works abound in attractive and distinctive melodic material; Pleyel writes idiomatically for both instruments and his part-writing is varied and interesting.
