Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588161 By The Beatles. By John Lennon, John Winston Lennon, Paul James Mccartney, and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. Score and parts. 5 pages. David McKeown #5306143. Published by David McKeown (A0.588161). When I’m Sixty-Four first appeared on the Beatles’ 1967 album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Despite the song’s appearance relatively late in the Beatles’ discography, it was one of the first songs that Paul McCartney wrote, at the age of 16. When the song was finally recorded in 1966, Paul McCartney felt it was too slow and turgid. George Martin simply solved the problem by speeding up the tape and raising the pitch by one semitone. This version of When I’m Sixty-Four is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Cello. The full YouTube performance above is the Clarinet version of this duet.Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and expressive playing.  There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588262 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. Score and parts. 6 pages. David McKeown #5311699. Published by David McKeown (A0.588262). She’s Leaving Home first appeared on the Beatles’ 1967 album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The song was jointly written and performed by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. George Harrison and Ringo Starr took no part in the recording and there were no instrumental contributions by any of the Beatles. The song was inspired by a newspaper story about a missing teenage girl. The girl in question turned up safe and sound eventually, and had, by complete coincidence, met the Beatles at a TV recording a few year’s earlier. This version of She’s Leaving Home is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Cello. The full YouTube performance above is the Clarinet version of this arrangement.Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance, with plenty of interest in both parts. The overall performance time is around three and a half minutes. Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.589125 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by David McKeown. Rock. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #5324717. Published by David McKeown (A0.589125). In My Life by the Beatles, was released on the 1965 album, Rubber Soul. It was chiefly written and sung by John Lennon, who claimed it was his first serious attempt at personal song-writing. The song features a baroque style piano solo by George Martin. The tempo was too fast for him to perform it, so he played it at half tempo and layer doubled the tape speed. The resulting tinny sound gave rise to a host of copycat harpsichord solos on contemporary pop songs. This version of In My Life is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Cello. Musicians at an intermediate level will find In My Life ideal for formal and informal concert performance. Most of the duet is straightforward though the transcribed piano solo is difficult for both players; these eight bars can be skipped without affecting the overall structure of the song. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes. The full YouTube performance above is the Clarinet Duet version of In My Life.Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and syncopated rhythms. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

Score and parts. 5 pages. David McKeown #5306515. Published by David McKeown (A0.588195). Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) by the Beatles, was released on the 1965 album, Rubber Soul. Primarily written by John Lennon, the song refers obliquely to an affair that never quite off the ground. Norwegian Wood was the first pop song to feature George Harrison’s sitar, and in so doing, simultaneously brought Ravi Shankar to the attention of Western audiences and deeply influenced the emerging psychedelic rock movement. This version of Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Cello.
