Published by JZC Music (A0.948395). https://jzcmusic.com/ A heartfelt arrangement of Abide with Me for violin and cello duet. Henry Francis Lyte composed the lyrics to the hymn Abide with Me using the Eventide melody composed by William H. Monk. The hymn is a prayer for God to remain present with us through all of life, including death. The title refers to the disciples' response to Jesus when they said (Luke 24:29), Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent..

Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.816600 Composed by William H. Monk. Arranged by Cydney Olson Van Duker. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 6 pages. Cydney Olson Van Duker #4795875. Published by Cydney Olson Van Duker (A0.816600). This is one of my favorite hymns. I have arranged it as a violin duet, or, a cello duet, or, a violin and cello duet. Each variation is a separate purchase. I've kept the string parts pretty simple. I just hate it when I can't easily find the melody when listening to a favorite hymn. Don't you?? The piano part is definitely intermediate level. Please don't freak out when you see all those sharps. It's only for a few measures. You can do it! This piece is appropriate for any worship service. I hope you enjoy it.
