By Aerosmith. By Diane Warren. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Film/TV,Pop,Rock. 9 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #6561445. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.526358).

I Don't Want To Miss A Thing was recorded by Aerosmith for the smash hit 1998 film Armageddon, and it immediately became a huge success. The soulful power ballad debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, where it remained for 4 weeks, and it remains the band's biggest hit to this day; and of course it's still a very popular request for slow dances and weddings. As the cellist for Aerosmith's Las Vegas residency show, I've performed this song with the band over 50 times, so this one has a special place in my heart! This arrangement for violin & cello duet maintains the beautiful harmonies, soaring melodies, driving beat, and dynamic passion of the original, for a chart that your audience will love listening to as much as you love playing it! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this will also be perfect for receptions, proposals, pop concerts, or any other occasion that you need to pull on your audience's heartstrings. Rated advanced intermediate, mainly for a number of tricky rhythms and a few high notes in the violin parts.

Composed by Traditional Irish. Arranged by David McKeown. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6013277. Published by David McKeown (A0.589145).

The Londonderry Air is among the best loved melodies of Ireland. This beautiful version is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Cello.

The Londonderry Air was first collected and notated in the mid-nineteenth century in County Londonderry in the North of Ireland, however, the origins of the melody remain unknown. In 1913 the English writer Frederic Weatherley set his poem Danny Boy to the melody. There are many other settings of the Londonderry Air, with various lyrics and in musical styles from orchestral to brass band to jazz, but Danny Boy remains the best known.

Londonderry Air is simply arranged in accessible keys and over a range best suited to the instruments. The melody is played twice with a key change and different accompaniment on the second verse and is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of a little over three minutes, this version of Londonderry Air is perfect for recitals and concert performanceClick the link above to listen to a full Youtube performance of the Clarinet version of this duet.

Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Dave Prudon. Baroque,Christmas,Sacred,Wedding. Score and parts. 4 pages. Prudon String Ensembles #3896993. Published by Prudon String Ensembles (A0.732513).

Originally written for a solo piano, this charming little piece by Bach sounds remarkably good when played by a Violin & Cello Duo.  For such a short little piece, it's full of swirling melodies and complicated harmonies that come together to produce an explosion of rich Baroque sounds.  Violin / Cello Duos that regularly perform for weddings and other special occasions will benefit from having this be a part of their repertoire list.

Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by David McKeown. Blues,Christmas,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 3 pages. David McKeown #6549747. Published by David McKeown (A0.594131).

Silent Night is a much-loved Christmas carol. This version is arranged as a duet in a Gospel style for one Violin and one Cello. Click on the YouTube link above to listen to a full length performance of this arrangement played on Clarinet.

The melody of Silent Night was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber in 1918, a setting for the lyrics of a young priest, Joseph Mohr. After flooding had damaged the church organ in Oberdorf, Austria, Mohr asked local schoolmaster, Gruber, to write a Christmas melody to be accompanied by guitar. Silent Night was the result. The carol remained unpublished until 1833, but has since gained huge international popularity. Bing Crosby’s version sold more than 10 million copies and UNESCO has declared the carol an intangible cultural heritage

With a performance time of around two and a half minutes, this version of Silent Night is perfect for seasonal celebrations and concert performances, both formal and informal. The gospel style is a fun, fresh and soulful take on this familiar tune.

Silent Night is arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. The 9/8 meter may be feel unusual to some, and there is plenty of articulation detail to help deliver an authentic style. The melody is played twice, with a short intro and a bluesy outdo. This arrangement is suitable for players at an intermediate level.

SKU: A0.1203942

By Keith Terrett. By Yoshiisa Oku and Akimori Hayashi (arranged by Franz Eckert), 1880. Arranged by Keith Terrett. Patriotic. 4 pages. Keith Terrett #802515. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1203942).

The Japanese National Anthem arranged for Violin & Cello.

Kimigayo (å›ãŒä»£, Japanese pronunciation: [kimiÉ¡ajo]; His Imperial Majesty's Reign) is the national anthem of Japan. The lyrics are from a waka poem written by an unnamed author in the Heian period (794–1185), and the current melody was chosen in 1880, replacing an unpopular melody composed by John William Fenton eleven years earlier. While the title Kimigayo is usually translated as His Imperial Majesty's Reign, no official translation of the title or lyrics has been established in law.

From 1888 to 1945, Kimigayo served as the national anthem of the Empire of Japan. When the Empire was dissolved following its surrender at the end of World War II, the State of Japan succeeded it in 1945. This successor state was a parliamentary democracy, and the polity therefore changed from a system based on imperial sovereignty to one based on popular sovereignty. However, the U.S. occupation forces allowed Emperor Hirohito to retain the throne and Kimigayo remained the de facto national anthem. The passage of the Act on National Flag and Anthem in 1999 recognized it as the official national and imperial anthem.

Original version: John William Fenton, 1869
Current version: Yoshiisa Oku and Akimori Hayashi (arranged by Franz Eckert), 1880.

Say Yes To Heaven, a beautiful ambient ballad by Lana Del Rey, was originally written for her third studio album Ultraviolence in 2012. As the song gained more and more internet popularity, Del Rey's record company decided to make it an official single in 2023, and it soon topped the Billboard charts and reached gold certification. And with lyrics describing the singer's devotion and steadfastness to her lover, this is the perfect song to add to your wedding music playlist! This Cellobat arrangement for violin and cello duet maintains the beautiful soaring melodies, dynamic passion, and ethereal guitar accompaniment lines of the original for a chart that's sure to make your clients say I do!
