At the time, French art culture was fashionable, and Paul McCartney used to pretend he was French despite no knowledge of the language. Later John Lennon suggested Paul should write a song recalling those times. Paul asked a friend’s wife, who happened to be a French teacher, for help with the French lyrics.This version of Michelle is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Cello.
