Mango Vert is a calypso-based paseo (two-step dance) recorded by Lovey's Original Trinidad String Band in 1912. This was the first recording of calypso music, pre-dating the first jazz record by five years. 

 Originally performed on violins, clarinet, flute, cello and a number of strumming instruments (guitar, mandolin, Venezuelan cuatro and Portuguese braga). This arrangement distills the lively, improvised nature into an arrangement for intermediate violin with chords and suggested strumming patterns (for guitar, ukelele, mandolin or any other plucked instruments).
 
Part of Paseos and Waltzes of Trinidad Vol.1. which can be purchased for $29.99 as complete set of 12 paseos and waltzes, as recorded by Lovey's Band and Lionel Belasco's Orchestra 1912-1918.

Clavel Blanc (vals) - White Carnations - is a Venezuelan-style waltz recorded in 1912 by Lovey's Original Trinidad String Band. 

Originally performed on violins, cello, flute, clarinet, piano and a variety of strumming instruments (guitar, mandolin, cuatro and braga). Arranged for violin and guitar (or other strumming instruments).
