FABRICATION of 3 Ideas for 2 Instruments is a five minute piece for violin and guitar.  The 3 ideas are woven into a fabric that is sometimes rough and scratchy, sometimes smooth and silky.  The audio sample is a recording from 2007 of the extraordinary Duo46.  It was written in 1980 for the wonderful violinist, David Brown, who died much too soon, and to whom it is dedicated.  The notes D and B (his initials) provide structural (and for me, emotional) significance to the piece.Contact:  tstanley@fsu.edu  (email).
