Io sì (Seen) is a song written by Diane Warren, Laura Pausini and Niccolò Agliardi, and recorded by Pausini for the soundtrack of the 2020 film The Life Ahead. The song was produced by Greg Wells and released as a digital single on 23 October 2020. 

Io sì (Seen) won the awards for Song of the Year at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival, Best International Song at the CinEuphoria Awards, Master in Music Award at the Los Angeles Italia Film Festival, Outstanding Song – Feature Film at the 11th Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Best Original Song at the 25th Satellite Awards and the award with the same name at the 78th Golden Globe Awards (the first non-English song to win the award and Pausini the first Italian singer ever to win the prize).

It also received nominations for Best Original Song at the 93rd Academy Awards, making it the first song sung entirely in Italian to be nominated, and Best Original Song both at the 66th David di Donatello Awards and at the 19th Gold Derby Awards.

Io sì (Seen) is a power ballad. Diane Warren wrote the original version of the song, with English-language lyrics, specifically for the film The Life Ahead, and involved Pausini in the project during the summer of 2020. After watching the film, Pausini accepted to perform the song, identifying herself in its message about diversity and against prejudice, racism, also talks about the hard life of orphaned or poor children, people struggling to have or adopt children, to people who are invisible and need to be seen and especially to the difficult situation that the world lives in these times.[8] Pausini translated the song in Italian with her frequent collaborator Niccolò Agliardi. Despite being used to compose instinctively, Pausini and Agliardi worked on the lyrics adaptation for 25 days, since she wanted to be sure to respect the film's meaning.

The song was produced, mixed, with most instruments played by Greg Wells, and recorded in Romagna in Pausini's home studio built in her parents' house. The film only features the Italian-language version of the song, but it was also recorded by Pausini in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Two versions of the song have been released as charting singles: one associated with the Broadway show by studio group Consumer Rapport in 1975, and a second recorded by Diana Ross and Michael Jackson for the feature-film adaptation of The Wiz (1978).

The composer, Julius Wechter, was a percussionist in Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, most notably on marimba. Spanish Flea featured Alpert's trumpet over a Latin rhythm backing. In the United States, the song is closely associated with the long-running game show The Dating Game, for which it served as the Bachelor’s Theme. The tune has been featured in four episodes of The Simpsons as well as many other films.

Apostolos Paraskevas is a classical guitarist and composer as well as an award-winning film director and producer. He has received multiple international awards for his compositions and was nominated for a Grammy Award. He is the only guitarist ever to have a major orchestral piece performed at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Lukas Foss––and the only musician who has performed there in a Grim Reaper outfit. He was the founder and served for 16 years as the artistic director of the International Guitar Congress-Festival of Corfu, Greece.  He is a voting member of the Recording Academy (Grammys).

After his undergraduate music studies in Volos he pursued advanced studies in classical guitar with Costas Cotsiolis (diploma, 1990) and Leo Brouwer (Havana 1984, 1988), as well as postgraduate studies in composition with Lukas Foss and Theodore Antoniou (DMA in composition, Boston University, 1998). Paraskevas embarked on a successful career as a guitar soloist and contemporary composer, achieving distinctions in both disciplines: Grammy nomination for Chase Dance (Bridge Records, 1999); first prize for Night Wanderings (Lukas Foss Composition Competition, 2000); first prize for Phygein Adynaton (National Composers Conference, 1997); and numerous prestigious commissions, performances, and publications. Following teaching posts at Northeastern and Boston Universities, Paraskevas has taught since 2001 at the Berklee College of Music in Boston (professor of composition and classical guitar).

 His eclectic compositional style arises as an idiosyncratic integration of seemingly conflicting influences – from avant-garde approaches to harmonic structure, form, and timbre, to pop-folk modal and rhythmical concepts – amalgamated into a personal evocative musical language, characterized by rhythmic verve, melodic grace, dramatic (and sometimes unexpectedly humorous) gestures, and ritualistic or theatrical elements. The latter feature has also led Paraskevas to the creation of films, notably the acclaimed I Finally Did It (Gold award, California Film Awards 2010), dealing wittily with Death, a recurring extra-musical theme in his music.

It was recorded as a single by Frankie Valli. The song was among his biggest hits, earning a gold record and reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a week, stuck behind Windy by the Association. The song is a staple of television and film soundtracks, even being featured as part of the plot of some films, such as when the lead characters sing or arrange their own version of the song. The Valli version was also used by NASA as a wake-up song on the STS-126 Space Shuttle mission, to celebrate the wedding anniversary of astronaut Christopher Ferguson, one of the mission's crew members.

A timepiece of a composition; 'Journals' also has that BBC-esque historical drama. It also carries some traits of Joe Hisaishi's music featured on Hayao Miyazaki's films. When you listen to the mp3, you can instantly think of rain pouring down on the window sill as the writer collects his thoughts on a single empty page. You can grasp a sort of sentiment filled with loneliness. Its tonically somber, but characteristically its presenting this enigmatic drift. Theres a shift in time you can visualize mentally when you learn this piece.

Invece no (English: On the other hand, no) is a pop song by Italian singer Laura Pausini for her album, Primavera in anticipo, released on October 22, 2008. En cambio no is its Spanish language adaptation featured in the Mexican telenovela En Nombre del Amor (2008). The Spanish version was nominated for the 2009 Latin Grammy for Record of the Year. This song also has a Portuguese version named Agora Não, but it was released only in Italy.

The song was written by Pausini and Niccoló Agliari and was produced by Pausini and Paolo Carta, her guitarist. The death of Laura's grandmother was the inspiration for the song.

The music video was filmed in Santa Monica and in West Hills, California in August 2008. Directed by Alessandro D'Alatri and starring former contestant on Survivor: Cook Island Oscar Lusth and fashion model Krystal Davidsohn, the video shows how difficult it is for a soldier to return to every day life.

It was released on the web on 22 October 2008.

It talks about a longing for a person. The music talks about things that were not said and old memories.

Simple ballad but with a touchy feeling. You'll certainly enjoy playing it!
