When released in 1975, it enjoyed huge popularity with both country and pop audiences. The song is about a veteran artist who's aware that he's more than paid his dues during his career ... but is still surviving, and someday, he'll shine just like a rhinestone cowboy. After Campbell's death in August 2017, Rhinestone Cowboy charted on the Country Digital Song chart at No. 12. As of August 2017, the song had been downloaded more than 368,000 times in the digital era in the United States.

Composed by Leslie Kleen. Contemporary. Score. 47 pages. Music From Riverside #4368516. Published by Music From Riverside (A0.1004795).

18 Songs from Chinese poets of the Yang period.  These poems have been set in English verse by Kenneth L. Patton.
They retain the simplicity of the original poems in Chinese and are on topics about Nature, Friendship, and Reflections on Life.
The guitar part requires a classical guitarist who is moderately advanced.  The voice part, however, is quite simple and in a fairly small range.   The style does not attempt to imitate Oriental music, but just a simplicity appropriate to the poems.

Thanks, John.  If I Were a Rich Man is a show tune from the 1964 musical Fiddler on the Roof.  A Critical and Musical Survey explained that the song contains a greater number of Jewish commonplaces than any other number in the score, and added the song does twofold: it offers such a strong dose of idiom early in the show [which] is good for the overall unity, and the important dramatic function of introducing the central character of Tevye through song.  A repeated phrase throughout the song, all day long I'd bidi-bidi-bum, is often misunderstood to refer to Tevye's desire not to have to work.  However, in an interview with Terry Gross, Sheldon Harnick said he basically made up syllables that he thought would give the effect of Chassidic chanting.

By Keith Terrett. By Cheng Maoyun. Arranged by Keith Terrett. 20th Century,Historic,Multicultural,Praise & Worship,Traditional,World. Score. 4 pages. Keith Terrett #1062146. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1485065).

The National Anthem of the Republic of China, also known by its incipit Three Principles of the People, is the national anthem of the Republic of China, commonly called Taiwan, as well as the party anthem of the Kuomintang. It was adopted in 1930 as the national anthem and was used as such in mainland China until 1949, when the Republic of China central government relocated to Taiwan following its defeat by the Chinese Communist Party in the Chinese Civil War. It replaced the Song to the Auspicious Cloud, which had been used as the Chinese national anthem before. The national anthem was adopted in Taiwan on October 25, 1945 after the surrender of Imperial Japan. Mainland China, being governed by the People's Republic of China today, discontinued this national anthem for March of the Volunteers.

The national anthem's words are adapted from a 1924 speech by Sun Yat-sen in 1937. The lyrics relate to how the vision and hopes of a new nation and its people can be achieved and maintained. Informally, the song is sometimes known as San Min Chu-i from its opening line, which references the Three Principles of the People (????; s?nmín zh?yì; san1-min2 chu3-i4), but this name is never used on formal or official occasions. During flag-raising ceremonies, the national anthem is played at the start prior to flag-raising followed by the National Flag Anthem of the Republic of China during actual flag-raising.
