PF, PS intro music is a gift for Mary, Mother of Jesus.  I first conceived of this poem and melody while an undergraduate at Duke Univ, sharing it with a friend who enjoyed the jazz reggae syncopation and melody line as we sang bits of the poem together.  The poem is a long popular song, and it took me some time to perfect the intro as it is today.  I am very proud of this work, as I believe it is a most original P/V intro to reggae melodies as we know them today.  I write this song in honor of Mary, because she is such a genuine Goddess of Creation, the majestic and pure Mother of Jesus who always interacted with others in a straightforward and genuine manner.  This song is about perseverance in the face of interpersonal superficiality, and it will take me some more time and effort to differentially cut and paste the strophic nature of the music on Finale.  Enjoy!

The Miles Davis Quintet featured tenor saxophone player John Coltrane, pianist Red Garland, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Philly Joe Jones. The song became a Miles Davis specialty and it appears on several live session recordings and compilations in different versions. The tune was taken up and performed by countless jazz musicians and is still a favorite in jam sessions.

John Meola Lindhorst has done it again! 
Another original Christmas song, destined to become a holiday classic.

The Surrey with the Fringe on Top is a show tune from the 1943 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma!. The piece was recorded in 1952 by jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal, which influenced trumpeter Miles Davis to include it in his repertoire in the 1950s,which probably motivated other jazz musicians to play it.

On Green Dolphin Street (originally titled Green Dolphin Street) is a 1947 popular song composed by Bronisław Kaper with lyrics by Ned Washington. The song was composed for the film Green Dolphin Street, which was based on a 1944 novel of the same name by Elizabeth Goudge, and became a jazz standard after it was recorded by Miles Davis in 1958.
