This is and original song from the reading of John 13:1 1-15 - (Holy Thursday). One can only imagine what Jesus was going through this night. Having his friends over - fixing a feast for them and washing their feet. All while knowing His fate and that there was among them a traitor. This is for Solo and Piano. cdboss@cvalley.net Lyrics below:

Towel and Basin

(Holy Thursday)

Composed by Connie Boss

V1

Before the feast of the Passover, Jesus

Knew His time had come

He would leave this world to travel to His

Father’s Kingdom come

Refrain:

Father I’ll do

What You want me to

V2

Jesus knew there was a traitor

among His treasured friends

and He gave him many chances

but he betrayed Him in the end

Refrain:

the Devil induced

His friend Judas

V3

Simon Peter said to Jesus, you

Need not wash my feet

Jesus said unless I wash them

You’ll have no place with Me

Refrain:

Hear my command

You’ll understand

V 4

Jesus used a towel and basin

To wash the disciples feet

He told each person when He finished

Do the same to those you meet

Final Refrain:

For you will be cleansed

Now free from sin

All but one of you

Jesus used a towel and basin

To wash the disciples feet

Thanks, John.  Still Crazy After All These Years is a song by the American singer-songwriter Paul Simon. It was the third and final single from his fourth studio album of the same name (1975), released on Columbia Records. Though the song briefly reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S., it was a bigger hit on the magazine's Easy Listening chart, where it peaked at number four Still Crazy After All These Years begins with the singer singing that I met my old lover on the street last night. The old lover has been variously interpreted to be either Simon's ex-wife Peggy Harper, from whom he was recently divorced, his former girlfriend from the 1960s Kathy Chitty, or even Simon's former musical partner Art Garfunkel, who appears on the song that follows 'Still Crazy After All These Years on the album. After sharing a few beers, the singer and the old lover part ways again.
