When you listen to the mp3, you can instantly think of rain pouring down on the window sill as the writer collects his thoughts on a single empty page. You can grasp a sort of sentiment filled with loneliness. Its tonically somber, but characteristically its presenting this enigmatic drift. Theres a shift in time you can visualize mentally when you learn this piece.

It includes a 20-second saxophone solo by Jim Horn. The opening chord of the chorus was based on that used by John in Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which Sedaka has described as a drop-dead chord. He combined that with a pentatonic melody inspired by Aaron Copland. Cody claims to have written the lyrics in about five minutes after smoking marijuana and falling asleep under a tree for a couple of hours.

I composed this piece while listening to Traci Braxton's song 'Perfect Time.' I heard from her first album. This piece is for the old-school Neo-Soul and R&B/ Soul enthusiasts who miss the sounds of the 90s and early 2000s. This is not an easy piece for beginners. Therefore I would recommend learning beginner Jazz Theory and Piano Theory.
