This contemporary Christian song was written by good friends and songwriting partners Chris Werle and John Ford. The lyrics depict a life filled with faith, hope, love, and peace that fathers everywhere wish for their children.  It is particularly well-suited for play during Father’s Day religious services.  It is intended primarily for church praise bands that typically consist of keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums. Bach, so it came as no great surprise that I would come up with my own arrangement of the work. There is an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility (and a hint of melancholy) to the original movement from his Orchestral Suite No. 3 which explains its popularity over the years. It has become more well-known in August Wilhelmj's arrangement as the Air on the G String, but in writing my own version I went back to the score and to the original key of D major.

They came about at the request of some of my adult piano students, particularly pregnant mothers, new mothers, grandmothers, and grandfathers seeking something easy to play, preferably with chord symbols, for their newborns and young children.And so, these seven lullabies came into being. They are simple to play. Some of you may choose to use the chord symbols to create the chords on the piano or guitar rather than the notated accompaniment and add the tune while playing to your little ones. Others may prefer to use the full accompaniment. Elder siblings, significant others, family friends, and relatives also enjoy playing and sharing these songs.I hope you enjoy playing and singing them and that they will become enduring memories of these special times in your shared lives.
