Mixed Percussion B-Flat Tuba,B-Flat trombone,Baritone Horn TC/Euphonium,Bass Trombone,E-Flat Cornet,E-Flat Tenor Horn,E-Flat Tuba TC,Flugelhorn,Percussion 1,Percussion 2,Tenor Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.746212 Composed by Michael Pilley. Spiritual. Brass Band. 36 pages. Michael Pilley Music #4331139. Published by Michael Pilley Music (A0.746212). Dedicated to a plucky, full-of-character Westie that we had the honour of looking after in February 2018, this composition hits me in the feels. I don’t often compose original tunes, so I’ve put an extra special emphasis on this piece.Featuring atmospheric cornets, a declamatory fanfare, a trombone quartet and a spectacular ending, this piece written for British Brass Band delves into the grandeur of Barney the Westie, whilst dealing with his struggle with a infection that would ultimately claim his well-lived life. The extreme dissonance heard just before the climatic ending brings about a knot in your gut, then releases you into a majestic outpouring of spirit.I hope you enjoy listening, and performing this work as much as I did composing it. This mockup was programmed using Sibelius 8.5 with NotePerformer 3 and Sibelius 7 Sounds.More music can be found at www.michaelpilleymusic.com and follow me at https://www.facebook.com/MichaelPilleyMusic/ or https://twitter.com/MPilleyMusic

Instrumental Solo,Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1513976 Composed by Various. Arranged by Robert Chamberlin. Christmas. Individual part. 20 pages. Robert Chamberlin #1088519. Published by Robert Chamberlin (A0.1513976). This set of Christmas Carol introductions for pipe organ has been written specifically for one hand and pedals. They were commissioned by a friend and fellow organist who was experiencing mobility issues with her right hand. She asked if I could write something she could play without having to rely on her right hand. From the beginning, I was intent on writing for left hand and pedals. But, as I moved forward with each carol arrangement, I realized that the manual part could actually be played with either left or right hand alone. There are different challenges with each hand, due to the structure of the hands (distances between fingers, especially the placement of the thumb). In spite of those challenges, the manual part can be played by either hand. While these arrangements may be useful for organists experiencing physical issues with one of their hands, they could also be used to help develop independence of the hands.
