This beautiful contemporary worship hymn by STUART TOWNEND is arranged for a 2-Part Choir (SOPRANO and ALTO) with PIANO accompaniment. The flowing, lyrical style of this choral arrangement creates a reverent and uplifting atmosphere and is an ideal selection for any church setting, especially during the Lent and Easter season.

This 2-Part arrangement is in the key of F with vocal ranges as follows: SOPRANO (Part 1) ~ C4 to E5; ALTO (Part 2) ~ A3 to A4. Verse 1 and 3 are the same and begin with the SOPRANO and ALTO singing solo for one phrase each, then the SOPRANO leads with the melody for the remainder of the verse while the ALTO adds a straight-forward, non-complex harmony. This arrangement expands the familiar hymn Grace Greater than Our Sin into a serene, gently rhythmic 3-minute SOPRANO-ALTO or 2-Part Choir arrangement with piano accompaniment. The vocal parts are pretty straight-forward, though the ALTO part is not exactly like the harmony found in most hymnals – it’s more a mix of the usual ALTO and TENOR parts. The piano accompaniment is different for both verses adding a slightly different sound for the two verses used in this arrangement.  

The vocal ranges are limited and accessible by most singers and could easily be used by other voice combinations (SOPRANO-BARITONE, TENOR-BASS, etc.). I wanted to create an arrangement where the tune is less often in the Soprano voice, giving the Alto's the chance to have the tune. This is a two part arrangement, with a few small moments three parts (the Alto line splits in two for a few chords, and for the ending). It would be good arrangement for building up the confidence of a new choir, or if you are short on time and just wanted to learn less harmonies.
