This dramatic setting of the story Christ told about the Good Samaritan has been set by John Horman in a very interesting manner. First, all of the two-part writing is canonic. Secondly, the highly repetitive motive of three notes at the opening helps give the opportunity to concentrate on the drama of the text so that the word is more important than a melody. It also makes for easy learning and memorization so that concentration can be part of the story. An excellent vehicle for clear enunciation, as in 'The Festival Alleluia'. This anthem could also very well be performed with a pantomime dramatization concurrent with the singing.

Entitled Don't Forget The Albatross!, this delightful, upbeat, easy to perform musical tells the story of Noah And The Ark.  All of us are aware that hurches today need to create ways to reach out to the community and production of this easy to produce musical will go a long way towards that goal.  There are 6 easy to sing two part songs, 7 scenes, a cast of only 9, and charts for piano, bass, drums and flute.  A Director's copy, scene books, vocal charts, charts for piano, bass, drums and flute are all included. My male voice choir plus my mixed choir have enjoyed performing this fun, jazzy, playful and upbeat arrangment of Ain't Misbehavin'. The song is for easy/intermediate two part choir and piano. The lower part imitates an accoustic walking bass and the two parts have a playful interaction with some great rhythmic interjections from the piano. The narrator promises to be loyal to his true love because he ain't misbehavin' by staying out late or flirting with other women. The song was written for the Broadway musical comedy play Connie's Hot Chocolates.
