This is an original setting of a text commonly associated with a movement from Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, for use in worship or concerts at Christmas. The lilting rhythms of compound metre portray the gentle rocking of a baby's crib, clearly referring to the song's subject matter. Textural variation in the piano and choral parts provide variety in each verse. The piece is appropriate for most standards of two-part (SA) choir, or duet, including school, student, community, church and cathedral choirs. The accompaniment is quite pianistic but can be played/adapted on the organ. The original simple unison setting, as well as versions for solo voice, and for SATB choir, are also available via Sheet Music Plus.

This is a meditative and reverential two-part (or duet) setting of the 'Hail Mary' prayer in Latin, with piano (or organ) accompaniment. The piece unusually sets the familiar text within an aching minor key, in a slow tempo, and with generally quiet dynamics. A highly memorable, singable and repetitive main theme is supported by rippling arpeggios over a descending bass line. Within the rocking 6/8 time signature, an often modal accompaniment also features chains of gently warm seventh chords. The work is appropriate for most standards of 2-part choir, including school, student, community, church and cathedral choirs. Versions of the work for solo voice, and for SATB choir, are also available via Sheet Music Plus.

This celebratory major-key anthem sets a prayer by Revd Canon Gordon Giles. The vocal lines are catchy and highly singable, based on recurring memorable phrases. A slight rewording of the penultimate line in Robert Lowry’s “How Can I Keep From Singing†provides the inspiration for this otherwise original text by David Lantz III. “All things are mine since I am His†becomes a bit more personal by changing “His†to “Yoursâ€. The textual hook is “All things are mine since I am Yours, and I am Yours forevermore.

This beautiful, yet very simple piece can be learned in one short rehearsal. There is ample unison writing, an opportunity for a soloist, an easy, lyrical piano part, and effective two-part mixed writing in much of the anthem.
