Thou Art My Beloved Son is a Liturgical Anthem specifically for the First Sunday after Epiphany. (Although the message is timeless and could be used in any service). The text is adapted from the prescribed scripture readings for the Church of England/American Episcopal. (Actual verses used are: Mark 1:11, Isaiah 42:6-7, Eph. 1:17-18, Jer. 31:9.)  
The Anthem is for 2 part Mixed Choir with Organ. It is in neo-Baroque style with chanting influences in the verses and simple imitative lines in the antiphon. There are 4 verses and a soloist (or 4 different soloists) introduces each verse text before it is taken up by the whole choir.
I have marked it pure and simple with brightness. It is a joyful Hymn of Epiphany that works well with choirs of any size and ability. This Easy piece has become a repertoire standard in many of my choirs.

The telemovie first aired on Australia’s Seven Network on Christmas Eve of 2005. In the movie the song was sung by Christine Anu, who also reprised it at Sydney’s 2007 Carols in the Domain.

Weather-wise, Christmastime in Australia is very different from that in the Northern Hemisphere. Instead of cold, snow and spending time indoors, there’s lots of sunshine, lots of colour everywhere and lots to do in the great outdoors.

This is a very simple arrangement with no vocal harmony; the chorus sings in unison and octaves when responding to the soloist. Optional alternative notes are provided where the tenor part goes high. There is an instrumental break with optional repeats allowing the singers and/or instrumentalists to riff and improvise; likewise the ending can be extended to add solo riffing and spontaneous harmony from the singers. This arrangement was first performed by the New York City Gay Men's Chorus in 2017.

This piece is perfect for student choirs and rock choirs as it can be taught in easy to add together parts. Starting with the bass, parts can be added one at a time and it's repetitive nature allows for the focus of the performance to be energy. Beatboxing or body percussion could also be added as a fun exercise or performance addition. 
With its performance time of about 3'05 it is perfect as an addition to any concert. 
It should be sung with a cheeky energy with the lower voices creating a solid foundation for the cheery upper voices to bounce off. This should create a strong performance platform for the soloist, who is encouraged to improvise over the last section of the piece.

While Shepherds Watched - Choral Book While Shepherds Watched centers around the story of a shepherd named Omer and his rebellious son, Benjamin. The initial conflict between them points out the two main themes of the story: (1) God sent His Son as the Lamb of God to pay the price for sin; and (2) Even in difficult times, God is still in control. The story ends with them at the manger seeing Christ just after He was born. The drama can be performed by only three people. They can sing the solo parts in the songs, or the children's choir and additional soloists can sing all of the music. Several of the songs have optional two-part harmony. Performance time is 30-35 min.
