This piece is titled and autographed: Andantino e Tempo de Minuetto per Violoncello e Contrabasso di Sgr. Giuseppe Haydn in Citta Ferro, and was written at the Esterhazy court in Eisenstadt (Citta Ferro) during the period when the cellist Anton Kraft and double bassist Matthias Sperger were employed there. The Tempo di Minuetto is a theme and variations.
