Mélyriquesfor Soprano Saxophone The title Mélyriques is a fusion of two French words: mélodies lyriques, which means lyrical melodies.  The work is divided into three parts: the first of moderate speed, the second slow and the third fast. The melodic material is based on the scale of harmonics (C-D-E-F#-G-Ab-Bb-B-C). In the first part, the scale of the harmonics is used from the note F; In the second part, from C and in the third, from A. Also, free chromatic changes are used throughout the work.  The work Mélyriques was premiered in Palermo, Italy, on December 2, 2014, by the saxophonist Nicola Mogavero.
