Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792022 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mark R. Fotheringham. Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 2 pages. Kevin G. Pace #399201. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.792022). A sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace & text by Mark R. Fotheringham. Text: As a world in turmoil cries for peace, while it suffers the conflicts of men, There is calm and comfort to be found in Zion’s peaceful glen. The gospel is a cooling breeze in the heat of summer’s day, Encouraging each wayward soul to find a better way. When a soul in anger strikes a blow or in vengeance he sows vile discord, Know The Spirit cannot there abide; ‘tis grievous to The Lord. Forgiveness is the way of God, and His healing balm assures As you forgive each man his sins, The Lord will forgive yours. Looking unto Christ in ev’ry thought, looking to Him in word and in deed, We will find in Him a lasting peace to fill our deepest need. No man can be an enemy, and all war and conflict end When like The Christ we see each man, a brother and a friend.

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.841250 Composed by Chris Gordon. Contemporary. Octavo. 18 pages. Cool Wind Music Digital #3029087. Published by Cool Wind Music Digital (A0.841250). A setting of a very powerful poem by English poet, Ted Hughes, about the onset of autumn in an English (Yorkshire) garden and the surrounding countryside.  It is full of pathos and passion, harmony and dissonance, chaos and peace - just like English weather! This is a very individual and innovative choral setting of Hughes' poem which is, itself, rich in 'meaty' metaphor and colour - and the composer is a vegetarian! It evokes a savage Nature within a savage landscape where humans and animals compete for space and for food. It is October, the fields and woods and gardens of rural Yorkshire are readying themselves for the cold and desolation (and despair) of winter which isn't far away in time. 'A glass, half-filled with wine, left out(side) To the dark heaven all night, by dawn Has dreamed a premonition of ice across its eye as if the ice-age had begun its heave.'   That is only two and a half stanzas but you see from these lines that there are veiled threats of (Nature's) violence in the heavy tread of the poet's slowly-building angst over what is happening in the surrounding countryside - and his fear grows, and his awe grows, with every line. There is even fear underlining the very last line: 'And now it is about to start.' Winter is creeping closer and closer towards the house and it will not be pleasant to experience!I have tried to instil a little of this in the music which keeps skidding from consonance to dissonance and back to consonance. Sometimes the dissonance piles up, like snow driven by the wind piles up into deep banks; sometimes the music relaxes into stillness and calm (painted in tonal music) like a crisp, mild late autumn or early winter's day when the sun warms the landscape and life appears bearable, tolerable. I hope this adds to the song's 'charm'. It wasn't easy to write: sometimes the right music was elusive. The music ends with the word 'October' repeated three times, with voices overlapping in a little canon. This conjures up the wistful feelings of the poet as he looks out onto a peaceful scene, soon to be filled with all manner of 'natural violence', while his inner peace will soon be shattered by the mayhem about to be unleashed around him.Setting Ted Hughes is no easy task. It is for choirs and choirmasters to judge if I have succeeded in conveying the 'sense and sensibility' of a classic 20th century English poem. The price is for one copy: please purchase a sufficient number of scores if you intend to perform this work. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.774724 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Sandra Milliken. Folk,World. Octavo. 14 pages. Sandra Milliken #3873279. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.774724). The Old Palmer Song is a favourite Australian folk song that is meant to be sung in a rollicking style that reflects the excitement and anticipation of hardy Australian colonials setting out in search of gold. Following hard on the heels of the great California gold rushes (1848 – 1855) came the discovery of payable quantities of gold in Australia. The first gold rush in Australia began in New South Wales in May 1851 after prospector Edward Hargraves discovered gold near Orange, at a site he called Ophir. Other discoveries quickly followed, including those at Ballarat and Bendigo in the colony of Victoria. Then came Rosewood and Gympie (1867) in Queensland; the Gawler region in South Australia in 1868; and Halls Creek (1885), Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie (1893) in Western Australia. One of Australia’s richest alluvial goldfields was that of the Palmer River in far north Queensland. The rush to the Palmer began in 1873 and lasted for about three years. The goldfields were nearly 100 miles inland from the small coastal settlement of Cooktown and the early prospectors had a hard time of it just getting to the field. Leaving Cooktown they crossed the coastal mangroves, then on through dense tropical rainforest, into the more open eucalypt forest beyond and then across the dry, inhospitable and rugged country of the hinterland dissected by wide and deep rivers. And always there was the risk of meeting with fierce resistance from the Aborigines whose tribal land they were travelling through. At the height of the rush there were around 35,000 prospectors on the Palmer (including a great many Chinese). By the time the rush was over, the Palmer had yielded over 100 tons of gold! The Old Palmer Song is set to the tune of Ten Thousand Miles Away, a shore ballad/sea shanty that probably originated in Ireland in the early 19th Century.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1016225 Composed by Anthony Theodore. Contemporary. Octavo. 5 pages. Anthony Theodore #5316925. Published by Anthony Theodore (A0.1016225). I am 17 years old and this the very first composition I have ever written. My vision for the world is to try and help people keep positive no matter how bad or how unbarring the situation may be. There are many people on the planet that have issues that need to be dealt with and I believe that one way that they can help themselves is by trying to thing of the times where things weren't so bad. Even if they were bad, those memories should be the reminders to help you grow throughout life. This is the message that I am trying to portray with Those Memories. At the age of 15, I had a vision to help people not to forget the good and the bad moments of their lives because once the memories are forgotten, people will never be able to go back and tell stories about how they developed and came to be. â€ƒSome of the lyrics were picked from a poem that was written 4 years ago in 2016 called One Brief Moment by John Fleming. The poem was found on a website that provides poems to those who like reading poems. The website is called poetrysoup.com and I think it's a pretty cool website for poem readers, so if you like poems and you want something new, you can go there and check it out. I hope you all enjoy the piece as much as I had fun writing it. Haha.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.1007125 Composed by Mogens Eliasen. Folk,Romantic Period. Octavo. 40 pages. Soverenity Enterprises Inc. #2948289. Published by Soverenity Enterprises Inc. (A0.1007125). The 40-page score is a choral symphony with a powerful lesson to modern people, based on an old Danish folk song about the young super-hero Ramund.  The score is dense with contents, both musically and lyrically, and alone for that reason, the 8-minute performance takes an advanced choir. The original folk song dates back to the Viking age and consist of many episodes ofRamund's life, almost like a personal saga. Some have undoubtedly been added later, making the total number of stanzas go up around 50, but the main idea of the song isto report about a young lad, whose ideas of what is right for him to do or not doare completely unaffected by other people's opinions, including those of royalties andcelebrities. The stories are in many regards comparable to those of Beowolf.Although the stories generally are dramatic and bloody, Ramund always retains hiscool attitude and shows how unimpressed he is with power demonstrations, even hisown when he is provoked to use his strength. It is a common element throughout thestories that Ramund detests evil and aggression, and he goes to great lengths to fightpower abusers and aggressive elements. He just wants to live in peace and not haveto be bothered by all those who like to abuse power!Included in this presentation for piano and 8 voices are 11 stanzas from what is believedto be original, in English translation, with focus on clarity of meaning, more so thanpoetical rules and rhymes. The first ruling concept has been to obtain clarity and agreat fit to the music. The second concept has been to add the inspiration this old folksong has created in the mind of a modern rebel who would like to see some ofRamund's attitude to power and power abusers put into action in our modern corruptsociety. Maybe in a less bloody version, but definitely with a similar effect! The added2 stanzas and the attached coda, as well as the added lyrics to the intermezzos and theincorporated commentaries to the action should serve that purpose. In addition, the original tune itself, as well as the lyrics and the intermezzo, haveinspired some musical development throughout the piece, to further accentuate themeaning and the messages about respecting each other, standing together againstabuse, and not letting power abusers get away with their crimes. The 8 voices cover ranges as follows:     First sopranos: C4 through Bb5 (possibly G5);     Second sopranos: C4 through E5;     All altos: G3 through D5;     All tenors: C3 through G#4(possibly F#4);     First basses: F2 through D4;     Second basses: D2 through B3
