SATB choir, organ - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.50-7074-E Composed by Alfred V. Fedak. Ascension, Christ the King, Easter, Easter Vigil. Instrument part. 11 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #50-7074-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.50-7074-E). This anthem is a powerful setting of the Welsh hymn tune Bryn Calfaria. Commissioned by organist Huw Lewis in memory of his parents, and first performed at the rededication of the historic 1929 E. M. Skinner organ at Hope College, Holland, Michigan, the work features a strong, independent organ part and sonorous choral textures. The nineteenth-century text by George Hugh Bourne makes this work appropriate for Easter, Ascension, choral festivals, or other occasions when a dramatic act of musical praise is called for.

SATB choir and keyboard, with optional handbells (3-4 octaves) - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.50-5445-E Composed by Alfred V. Fedak. Instrument part. 16 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #50-5445-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.50-5445-E). English.Useful for a sacred concert or the music appreciation services churches sometimes hold, this anthem is based on a Charles Wesley text. The composer's knack for an exuberant organ part is on display, and handbells are optional. (Requires three octaves and has few optional notes in the fourth.) Your choir will enjoy singing all of it, but the part in canon (with the basses and handbells in augmentation) is quite a bit of fun.
