The madrigal Mentre Angoscia e Dolore by William Hawley is the final piece in the original set of Seven Madrigals, commissioned and premiered by the vocal ensemble Chanticleer in 1986. The first six madrigals of the set were subsequently published by Hinshaw Music in separate octavos under their Italian titles, as arranged for SATB voices by the composer. Mentre Angoscia e Dolore is here presented in a new engraving of the original ATBarB voicing, prepared and revised by the composer from the original manuscript. Vince Peterson's epic arrangement of the Queen classic Somebody to Love is a much-loved staple of the American choral music landscape. Commissioned, premiered, and recorded by Chanticleer on their album Someone New in 2012, this piece has brought houses down all over the world. The construction of the arrangement adds material to fill in the instrumental gaps in a rhythmically charged way with an addictive motive on the words can somebody which repeats throughout. The work is designed to prevent the need for a single soloist having to sing the high solo on multiple performances. Enjoy!

Vince Peterson's arrangement of this 1922 war song was commissioned, premiered, and recorded by the multi-Grammy® award-winning ensemble Chanticleer. Aligned with Doris Day's 1952 recording of this American song, the arrangement incorporates a sung version of Taps, traditionally played at the burial of an American soldier. The harmonic profile is typical of the style and boasts a barbershop feel with beautiful chromaticism throughout.
