This Jesus Loves Me is not your grandma's Jesus Loves Me. Originally written for SSA voices, this arrangement for mixed voices sets the classic on its ear with a jazz feel, in this setting with alto and tenor sax and bass guitar (or double bass). It is available for SATB and SSA voices with or without saxes. Your singers and audiences will love it!

The first and last verses are mostly unison singing with the congregation invited to join in. The second verse is a simple two part canon, while the third verse is a straight four-part chorale, optionally a capella, with slightly different harmonization from the traditional carol. The text is an adaptation using a composite of a translation of the original Swedish along with variations of other commonly heard settings. This arrangement would work well for a modest choir looking for a new Advent anthem with minimal challenges.
