At times depicting the night, the shifting fog, or the eventual appearance of the bright stars, the music presses onward and upward to a brilliant climax and peaceful resolution. The parts are very singable but they explore the full range of each voice and there is one chord that contains a 16-part split. Choirs will love to sing this and it is sure to be a choir and audience favorite.

The percussion part has loose directions for improvisation and could also be played on many other world drums, improvised fiddle, or any other world dance instruments. .
