Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1027467 Composed by Keane Southard. Contemporary. Octavo. 8 pages. Spindrift Pages #546435. Published by Spindrift Pages (A0.1027467). Do You Hear How Many You Are? for SATB choir was written in April and May of 2010. The origins of this piece and text come from a very interesting experience I had in December of 2009. I have been learning a lot in the past few years about the state of our world and the many huge problems and crises we are faced with in the near future, and this discovery has been so daunting and overwhelming to me. So much change needs to happen in order for the near and long-term future of our world to be just and stable that I have felt a lot of guilt over my choice of profession. Why have I chosen to be a composer and musician when I could make more of an impact on solving these problems if I were a scientist or policy maker etc.? I have been struggling to find a solution to this dilemma for a while now and I just happened to be thinking about it, while filled with lots of stress and worries, one night as I was falling asleep in December of 2009. At the moment when I was in that state halfway between sleep and consciousness, I suddenly heard the line Do you hear how many you are? in my head, yet I felt as though I didn't come up with the line but that it was said TO me. I was instantly comforted, as if a load fell off my shoulders, and then I began to hear it being sung, which I knew was the beginning of a choral piece. I woke up, wrote down the music I was hearing (about the first six measures of the work) and then wrote down this entire poem. I truly feel that this message came to me for a reason, and that I need to share it through the music I create. Those of us who want to change the world for the better are not alone; we are many and we will make our voices hear in order to heal the world. -Keane Southard Duration: c. 3 minutes -Winner, 2010 Ars Nova Singers Colorado Composers Competition (Professional Division) -1st Prize, Warren County Summer Music School's Promising Young Composers Competition, 2014 Premiered June 3, 2011 in Boulder, CO by the Ars Nova Singers, Thomas Morgan-conductor PROJECT : ENCOREâ„¢ has found this work to be of exceptional merit. Kevin G. Pace #878991. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1287904). A wonderful, sacred choral arrangement for mixed choir.  Music by Kevin G. Pace.  Text by Kathryn W. Hales. I often wonder if I’d been there On the shores of Galilee, Would I have stopped and listened toA stranger I happened to see,A man called Jesus, from Nazareth,Whose words right from the startMight come to my ears as something sweet’Would I have had a believing heart?Chorus:A believing heart, a special giftOf faith that I might seeEternal truths from God above,That I might say and do and beA willing servant committed toThe Master’s work below;A believing heart, a willing mind,To Him I’d like to show.I often wonder if I’d been thereIn another time and place,Would I have listened to Alma’s words:Or with a multitude seen the faceAnd touched the feet of Jesus Christ,Of His people been a part? From pages of Book of MormonI learn of those with believing hearts.I often wonder if I’d been thereIn Ohio or Missouri,Would I have listened to Joseph Smith,Or a jeering scorner beBecause of tradition or fear of men,Would I have quickly turned apart?Or would I have stayed and heard his words?Would I have had a believing heart? And now I live in the latter daysGod’s message I have always knownThroughout my days of mortal life,Gospel truths from parents at home,Or from missionaries bold and strong,Yet I must still choose to testify.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.569657 Composed by Pavel Grigorievich Chesnokov. Arranged by James W. Featherstone, III. A Cappella,Multicultural,Sacred,World. Octavo. 13 pages. Jim Featherstone #178790. Published by Jim Featherstone (A0.569657). This Russian Orthodox Feast of the Annunciation hymn was set to music by Chesnokov for baritone soloist and male chorus, and the hymn (lyrics) is in Slavonic, The arrangement is for baritone soloist and SATB chorus and the lyrics are in English I heard the piece for the first time a few years ago when I was searching YouTube for a different Chesnokov work and stumbled onto the performance linked below, which thrills though the imperfection of the recording. It has now had 1.4 million views . I liked the music and wanted to obtain it for my church choir. I couldn't find anywhere an SATB version in English, so I finally created one myself. The piece should be sung a cappella. A piano part for rehearsal is included.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.940832 Composed by Bob Dylan. Arranged by Michael D. McClish. Contemporary. Octavo. 8 pages. Michael D. McClish #4982737. Published by Michael D. McClish (A0.940832). Yes! A choral arrangement of a Bob Dylan Song! This is an SATB+piano arrangement of one of Bob Dylan's perhaps lesser known folk tunes, but one of his most plaintive and heartfelt songs. With Dylan's exquisite sense of analogy, he paints a heartfelt portrait of Americana. The difficulty level would be intermediate. This is an excellent example of homophonic choral writing in an authentic American style, emphasizing characteristics of American folk songs, connection to nature and humanity. This would be an excellent show stopper, end of concert, or other appropriate place in a program. For students, this builds choral tone, has solo, unison, two, three, and full choral singing, and a small solo. The theme builds community, and respect and love for nature and humanity. This has simple warm harmonies that exemplify American folk music, yet with a modern touch. I guarantee you will love this piece and it will find it's place in your permanent library. Perfect For Earth Day or general service in a church setting, the text is general, fits almost any church service. This will be alongside such standards as The River Is Wide,Down To The River To Pray and others. I feel very confident you will love this piece. The music clip is page 6, the most complex verse. Below is a You Tube link to hear the entire arrangement.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.1019365 Composed by Kevin Longley. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 10 pages. Kevin Longley #6344809. Published by Kevin Longley (A0.1019365). With My HeartInspiration In 2012 my wife suggested we attend a church service at a Catholic church in town called Holy Cross. It was unclear as to where this came from; my wife has never been one to attend church services. I agreed though I was puzzled. On our first attendance what caught my ear was the beautiful sounds coming from the choir. There was a choir director playing the piano and singing soprano, one alto, one tenor and one bass. They sounded quite good especially the director; she had studied at Julliard and there were several other choir members who were trained musicians. It was only a few months later that I found myself singing with the choir during lent. From this experience was born With All My Heart, written for the Holy Cross choir. The Music The music is upbeat, contemporary, with lyrics modified from Psalm 103. Completed in 2013, it was my first church piece in a dozen years. A simple structure of ABABCB with a soloist for the C section. Program Notes I thank God for leading my wife to this church as it lead to my resumption of singing for the Lord and continued composing of church music to this day in 2021.

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1035521). A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball. Text: Blessed are the pure in heart where no stains appear, Where there’s inward holiness and the Savior’s near. Tainted sin has been erased, leaving no mistake to trace. Cleansed by ritual washings brings sight with grateful tears in his holy presence. Blessed are the pure in heart changed through God’s pure grace, Free of selfishness and greed, now in sacred space. Righteousness has washed each spot through the teachings Jesus taught. Consecrated longing brings God’s most hallowed place in his holy presence. Blessed are the pure in heart where all guilt has fled, Where each soul is sanctified, for the Savior bled. Sacrifice fulfilled the price; He became the living Christ. All the pure in heart will know joy just as He said, in his holy presence.

In her naivety and innocence, she sees kindness and virtue in all the people she passes along the way. But - unbeknown to her - there are sinister goings-on in the lives of all the characters she passes. However, on hearing her happy little tune - although Pippa is unaware of it - her song has a positive effect on all those people she passes, influencing them to change their ways and start acting for the good. A story about the power of song and positivity - and how that can affect others without us even realising it. This is Pippa’s song as she passes by.

SATB choir divisi a cappella - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.50-1122-E Composed by Craig Carnahan. Christmas. Score. 12 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #50-1122-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.50-1122-E). This is a tender, yet powerful, poem that reminds us of the personal responsibility each of us bears in creating a world fit to welcome the return of God's Son. In each of the five stanzas, the anonymous poet underscores the message of the text by opening with the same words: If in your heart you... It is the final word of each of these lines that sets up the momentum of the poetry and the ultimate impact of its message: If in your heart you find...build...make...hold... and, finally, sing. Each of these acts builds on the previous thought and leads the reader through a series of petitions that, if followed, will result in a chorus of Alleluias not heard on earth since that night in Bethlehem centuries ago.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818187 Composed by Philip Le Bas. Easter,Sacred. 8 pages. Philip Le Bas #6333823. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.818187). An anthem composed by Philip le Bas especially suitable for church choirs during Lent (or Advent) and Holy Week. It might also be particularly suitable for Remembrance services. The Jacobean poet Phineas Fletcher’s passionate prayer of repentance is here set to music for SATB choir and organ. In a series of pulsating descending scales the author’s words express heartfelt remorse for his sins, reflecting the story of Jesus and the weeping woman in Luke 7:36ff. This is real, deep sorrow and regret, looking to the Prince of Peace for forgiveness: at one poignant moment the music reaches a point of stillness as the slow tears continue to fall. The weeping then turns to anger, crying for vengeance, because sin doth never cease. The music rises to an intense climax, but suddenly vanishes; the anger is, after all, self-directed. Finally the text returns to a prayer of supplication to drown all my faults and fears, and the harmonies end with a hope-filled hint of future healing. Drop, drop, slow tears, and bathe those beauteous feet, which brought from heaven the news and Prince of Peace. Cease not, wet eyes, his mercies to entreat; to cry for vengeance, sin doth never cease. In your deep floods, drown all my faults and fears; nor let his eye see sin, but through my tears.  Phineas Fletcher (1623)The composer acknowledges with gratitude the ideas and help received from the Composition Workshop of Morley College during the Spring term of 2021, and particularly from its tutor Dr Paul Sarcich.
