Waltzing Matilda was created in Australia in the late 19th century and rapidly became a popular bush song for the country. It is the unofficial Australian National Anthem. It is often used musically to suggest the country of Australian in films, notably by Ernest Gold for the film On the Beach. This arrangement is for SATB Choir and piano, and is both enjoyable and challenging for advanced high school and college choirs as well as excellent community choirs.
