Choral Choir (Mixed) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.782809 Composed by Nicholas Palmer. Instructional. Octavo. 24 pages. Nicholas D Palmer #3516751. Published by Nicholas D Palmer (A0.782809). The purpose of this series of sight-singing exercise books is to give choir directors supplemental materials with which to strengthen the reading skills of singers. These exercises may be used in a variety of ways, starting with unison choir, then two part, then switching parts, etc… to maximize the exercises’ content. No texts are provided, so that the singers may use neutral syllables to focus on tone, or solfege, numbers, or rhythm syllables, depending on the system the teacher uses. This volume contains 20 exercises, using common rhythmic patterns in 6/8, 6/4, and 9/8, with some exercises in 12/8, and then 5/8 and 5/4.  Volume 1A includes only longer note values, B introduces eighths and sixteenths, and D will introduce melodic minor.Volume 1 (ABCD)- Diatonic Seconds Volume 2 (ABCD) - Diatonic ThirdsVolume 3 (ABCD) - 1-5-1, octave leapsVolume 4 (ABCD) - FourthsVolume 5 (ABCD) - FifthsVolume 6 (ABCD) - SixthsVolume 7 (ABCD) - SeventhsVolume 8 (ABCD) - Chromatic intervalsIn general, the exercises give some direction for articulation, dynamics, and tempo. Though these are optional, the more notation detail the singers pay attention to, the greater their skill will be in reading all the notation on the page. In some cases, vagueness in these instructions leaves opportunities for singers to decide how to articulate, what tempo might be appropriate, and how loud or soft to sing.If you discover any errors, please notify me, and then give your singers a chance to figure out what the error is! Nick Palmerwww.nicholaspalmer.comnicholasdpalmer@gmail.com

Mixed choir (SATB) and piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q48005 Georg Kreisler - Lieder und Chansons. Composed by Georg Kreisler. Arranged by Bernhard Hofmann. This edition: choral score. Humor - love - black humor. Georg Kreisler fĂĽr Chor. Downloadable, Choral score. Duration 2' 40. Schott Music - Digital #Q48005. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q48005). German.Georg Kreisler equals scathing, dark black humour on the piano! The Singphoniker have arranged Georg Kreisler's best known songs for all-male ensemble and recorded them on CD. Schott now publishes the corresponding music edition for mixed choir SATB with piano accompaniment (Georg Kreisler - Lieder und Chansons, ED 22737). In addition, all songs from the sheet music album are available in separate editions: Tauben vergiften im Park puts the relationship between dove and man in a nutshell and suggests a funnily described, yet ethically not correct method of taking action against the pigeon terror. This pleasant arrangement with Kreisler's humorous text most certainly creates an exuberant atmosphere in the concert.

This is a Latin motet, duration about 7 minutes, on poetry by the 4th-5th century Christian poet Prudentius. The music for this motet is highly animated. The full text follows, with an English translation.Latin Text:1. English Translation:1. Christ is of our flesh; for me His death, for me His Resurrection. If in death I am dissolved, through the power of Christ I shall rise again. When Christ suffers death, when amid tears He is laid in the tomb, I behold myself; and, when restored from the tomb He again stands before me, I gaze upon God. 2. I know that in Christ my body shall arise; why bid me, then, despair? For I shall go by that same path whereby my Lord returned, death trodden neath His feet; this is my creed. 3. Then banish, my limbs, all terror; and believe that with Christ our God you shall again return; for it is He that sustains you; He will call you to join Him. Laugh at the threats of sickness, scorn the blows of fate; despise the horrors of the tomb, and follow where the risen Christ summons. -- Prudentius (348 - after 405 AD), selections from his APOTHEOSIS.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1028613 Composed by Lydia J. Wede. A Cappella. Octavo. 12 pages. Lydia J. Wede #3591703. Published by Lydia J. Wede (A0.1028613). The Battle of Kresvia is an a capella choral piece that tells the story of several knights going to fight in a mythical battle. There are several phases throughout this song. It starts out with a recurring melody of the soldiers marching, then the knights pause to dream about what they will encounter. However, all of their dreams turn to nightmares when they realize the mortal terror they will encounter. The warriors drearily march until their commander riles the troops and raises their morale. We continue the journey with the troop until the battle begins. The knights fight on to victory! Sorry for the bad audio, email me at lydiawede@gmail.com for any questions or assistance.

The billows are tossing high! The sky is o'ershadowed with blackness. No shelter or help is nigh. Carest thou not that we perish? How canst thou lie asleep when each moment so madly is threat'ning a grave in the angry deep?Master with anguish of spirit I bow in my gried today. The depths of my sad heart are troubled. Oh, waken and save, I pray! Torrents of sin and of anguish sweep o'er my sinking soul, and I perish! I perish! dear Master. Oh hasten and take control!Master, the terror is over, the elements sweetly rest. Earth's sun in the calm lake is mirrored, and heaven's within my breast. Linger, o blessed Redeemer! Leave me alone no more, and with joy I shall make the blest harbor and rest on the blissful shore. The winds and the waves shall obey thy will: Peace, be still. Whether the wrath of the stormtossed sea or demons or men or whatever it be, no waters can swallow the ship where lies the Master of ocean and earth and skies. They all shall sweetly obey Thy will: Peace, be still. Peace, be still. They all shall sweetly obey Thy will: Peace, peace, be still.

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1465872 Composed by Mary Hamilton and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (altered by James F. Linzey). Arranged by James F. Linzey. Classical,Historic,Patriotic,Religious,Sacred. 4 pages. Military Bible Association #1044469. Published by Military Bible Association (A0.1465872). History of the United States Air Force and the Air Force HymnOn September 18, 1947, the National Security Act of 1947 created the National Military Establishment and the United States Air Force. The National Military Establishment later became the Department of Defense. The Air Force was part of the Army Air Corps since August 1, 1907. It had the oversight of military aviation for land-based operations. The organizational development of the Air Force is as follows: Aeronautical Division, Signal Corps (1 August 1907 – 18 July 1914), Aviation Section, Signal Corps (18 July 1914 – 20 May 1918), Division of Military Aeronautics (20 May 1918 – 24 May 1918), Air Service, U.S. Army (24 May 1918 – 2 July 1926), U.S. Army Air Corps (2 July 1926 – 20 June 1941), the U.S. Army Air Forces (20 June 1941 – 17 September 1947), and the United States Air Force, 18 September 1947 – present), and the separation of the United States Air Force Space Command as the United States Space Force  (20 December 2019 – present). The Air Force has been involved in World War 1, World War II, the Cold War and the Korean conflict, the Vietnam conflict, combat operations such as Operation Eagle Claw, the invasion of Grenada (1983), the bombing of Libya (1986), the invasion of Panama (1989), Operation Desert Storm, the Gulf War, Bosnia and Kosovo, the Global War on Terror, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.Mary Christian Dundas Hamilton (24 May 1850 - 10 June 1943) was a Scottish writer and poet. She is known for writing “A Hymn for Aviators” (1915). It was known as “Lord, Guard and Guide the Men Who Fly,” and also as the United States Air Force Hymn. It was set to Mozart's “Dona Nobis Pacem,” a waltz. Various phrases and verses were used in the United States Navy Hymn, “Eternal Father, Strong to Save,” and alluded to in the United States Space Force Hymn, “Creator of the Universe.” Former Air Force Chaplain and Officer, theologian and hymnist, Major James F. Linzey (Ret.), believed that military hymns should not be waltzes. So he converted the timing of Mozart’s piece to four-four timing, giving the Air Force Hymn traditional timing that is fit for a hymn. James Linzey is the General Editor of the New Tyndale Version (NTV) Bible translation.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.761463 Composed by Russell Ronnebaum. Contemporary. Octavo. 11 pages. Russell Ronnebaum #2912079. Published by Russell Ronnebaum (A0.761463). Cradle Song for SATB Choir and PianoWords by: William BlakeMusic by: Russell Ronnebaum About the piece:William Blake’s serene language inspired this dramatic setting of his poem Cradle Song.  The piece opens with a constantly descending scale as a mother sings to her sleeping child.  As more voices are layered in, the texture becomes increasingly lush, but still soothing.   The third stanza of text is marked with peaceful harp-like figures (as thy softest limbs I feel) while the voices take over the calming decent into deeper, more peaceful sleep.  The mother’s concern suddenly changes as the descending scale transforms and (the cunning wiles that creep) set in. Anticipation of escaping the terror of potential nightmares escalates as the ascending textures grow more tense and dissonant.  The tension finally peaks with a breathless silence before resolving with (then the dreadful night shall break). The final phrase of the piece is a slightly transformed iteration of the opening vocal phrase and is a subtle nod to Johannes Brahms’ Wiegenlied: Guten Abend, Gute Nacht, more commonly known as Brahms’ Lullaby.Cradle Song was commissioned by Rincon/University High School Concert Choir in Tucson, Arizona; Directed by Mareena Boosamra.www.RRonnebaum.com

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1194167 By Dave Froman. By Dave Froman. Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. Octavo. 12 pages. Dave Froman #793589. Published by Dave Froman (A0.1194167). 2021. SATB, piano, and violin / 4:30The beautiful and haunting poem Fire and Sleet and Candlelight laments a wasted life. This original piece is reminiscent of the choral standards “Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child” and “Wayfaring Stranger,” evoking what I can hope are similar thrilling feelings of angst and terror for singer, conductor, and listener.  Text by poet Elinor Wylie (1885-1928), born in Somerville, New Jersey. Please reach out if you would like to premiere this piece.  davefroman@gmail.com.Text:For this you’ve striven    Daring, to fail:Your sky is riven    Like a tearing veil. For this, you’ve wasted    Wings of your youth;Divined, and tasted    Bitter springs of truth. From sand unslakèd    Twisted strong cords,And wandered naked    Among trysted swords. There’s a word unspoken,    A knot untied.Whatever is broken    The earth may hide. The road was jagged    Over sharp stones:Your body’s too ragged    To cover your bones. The wind scatters    Tears upon dust;Your soul’s in tatters    Where the spears thrust.Your race is ended—    See, it is run:Nothing is mended    Under the sun. Straight as an arrow    You fall to a sleepNot too narrow    And not too deep.

SATB chorus - Digital Download SKU: BJ.1406 Composed by Sofia Söderberg. Christian. Octavo. 8 pages. Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital #1406. Published by Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital (BJ.1406). 8.27 x 11.7 inches.Music based on Gregorian themes. In the autumn of 2015, Malmo Live Vokalensemble performed Thierry Machuel's Paroles contre l'oubli - words against oblivion. In a large-scale art project, prisoners serving a life sentence at the Clairvaux high-security prison in north-eastern France were interviewed by the composer, who set their stories to music. The piece is incredibly dark, coloured by the innermost thoughts of individuals who know they will never again be free, people who are slipping into oblivion. Clairvaux wasn't always a prison, though - it was formerly an important monastery. Established by St. Bernhard in 1115 and closed in connection with the French Revolution, Clairvaux is a mythic place. For some, it is an abbey where thousands of monks voluntarily chose the path of saints, plunging themselves into the blessed silence of darkness. For others, it is a prison, the sheer name of which inspires terror and generates horrific images. My intention was that we, with our concert, would create a bridge between the present and the past, between incarceration and voluntary solitude. So I sought out the historical sources for our earliest notated music, from the French abbey of Solemn, and composed a variety of versions based on Gregorian themes. Kyrie and Agnus Dei are two of them. - Sofia Soderberg.
