Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.923137 By Mary McDonald. By words by Rose Aspinall and Mary McDonald music by Mary McDonald. Arranged by Mary McDonald. Christmas,Pop,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. 17 pages. Marco Borsoi #529002. Published by Marco Borsoi (A0.923137). After the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, three Wise Men arrived from the East. They were looking for the King of Kings and brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. They expected to find him in a palace or in the Great Temple of Jerusalem, but the star led them to a manger, where they met Mary and Joseph who were watching over their child. The Magi kneeled and began to adore him. With that little baby was born the Lord of All, the Creator of the World, the one who would wash away sin from man, delivering him from darkness and bringing eternal Glory.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.991908 Composed by Sebastian Temple. Arranged by Kelvyn Koning. Gospel,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 12 pages. Kelvyn Koning #3556857. Published by Kelvyn Koning (A0.991908). Prayer of Saint Francis is based on the hymn Make Me a Channel of Your Peace by Sebastian Temple, which uses text from a prayer written by Saint Francis of Assisi. Part of the inspiration for the piece comes from Madison CRC, a church I belonged to and worked in for about five years, which was focused on interracial development and combating racism. It is often clear to a person who has belonged to any group of people (for example, a multi-racial church or a choir), that it takes a lot of effort for different people to unite harmoniously to achieve something greater than what any lone person could accomplish. This song is a prayer about unity, about peace between people who are different from each other. Different, in this case, refers to every sort of difference, whether in race, ethnicity, background, social class, gender, sexuality, age, religion, politics, personality, preferences, musical ability, etc. This piece includes different musical styles working in tandem, thus illustrating that differences can work together to create beauty and harmony. Though written by Christians, this is not just a prayer for Christians, but for all of us, that we may treat those around us with love, care, and respect, thus bringing peace to our communities, both locally and globally. I am honored to have had this piece premiered by the Berkshire Choral Apprentices of 2018 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.897054 Composed by Joy DeCoursey-Porter. Christian,Easter,Holiday,Sacred,World. Octavo. 9 pages. Joy DeCoursey-Porter #2079905. Published by Joy DeCoursey-Porter (A0.897054). A piece best suited for an accomplished HS or college choir, or one that enjoys a bit of drama. Please contact Joy DeCoursey-Porter at joyfulporter@hotmail.com with performance info. The story of King Edmund takes place in the mid 800s and remains shrouded in some mystery. Though certain details are sketchy depending on the historical source, the events depicted in the poetic text seem consistent with most sources. The text, taken from the writings of Ælfric of Eynsham and adapted by Frances E. F. Ward is as follows: The Danes came by great fleet of ship, under Hingwar, to plunder the Angles’ coast. Edmund the King will never bow in life unless first Hingwar bow to Christ, he said. He stood in hall raising no sword. Bound to the tree he called on Christ. Mad with rage, they bristled him with arrows and still with steadfast faith he called on Jesus Christ. Hingwar’s order, and the blow beheaded him; his soul departed joyfully to Christ. The grey-eyed wolf stood guardian to holiness, until head and body one. Holy Edmund revealing Christ..
