Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.955872 Composed by Isham Jones. Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. 20th Century. 9 pages. Scott S. Stewart #6527833. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.955872). I'll See You in My Dreams (1924) is a popular song, composed by Isham Jones, with lyrics by Gus Kahn.  While their names may have slipped from public consciousness, many of the songs written by Jones and Kahn continue to live on. Composer Jones alone put out more than a hundred, many of them musical standards. Lyricist Kahn collaborated with other composers such as Sigmund Romberg, George Gershwin and Harry Warren. This standard from The Great American Songbook makes for a great closer, or encore, for an outdoor evening program, an intimate recital offering, etc.  It is arranged for 4-part SATB ensemble with piano accompaniment. Performance time: 3:39+-

Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music #00-PO-0002257. Published by Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music (AX.00-PO-0002257). UPC: 038081294148.Here's a light, swinging arrangement of a cute George and Ira Gershwin song that's ideal for any age choir. High school groups can sink their teeth into it, middle school groups can really make music with it, and elementary groups can just have fun with it. The clever lyrics (you say ee-ther and I say eye-ther) are the focus of this piece. Great for jazz/pop groups, too.Inst. Parts Available (choral); Recorded Acc. Available.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1228242 By Frank Sinatra. By George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin. Arranged by John Fries. 20th Century. 4 pages. John Fries #824360. Published by John Fries (A0.1228242). Please contact me by email at jfries@ptd.net to make a special request or to find out all that I have to offer and to express your comments or concerns. Thanks, John.   This song began life in 1930 as a nine-bar phrase with the working title There's No Stopping Me Now.  Its title phrase Nice work if you can get it came from an English magazine.  It was one of nine songs the Gershwin brothers wrote for the movie A Damsel in Distress in which it was performed by Fred Astaire with backing vocals by The Stafford Sisters.  The song was published in 1937.  The first jazz recording of the work was by Tommy Dorsey three weeks after the release of the film.  The song was recorded by many jazz singers and adopted by bebop instrumentalists; Jerry Newman recorded pianist Thelonious Monk performing the tune in 1941 at Minton's Playhouse, a nightclub closely connected with early bebop, and he subsequently recorded it several times.
