Farther Along starts out as a straightforward reading of the familiar hymn, with a smattering of white gospel, first in the accompaniment, and then the singers catch up.  The second half, however, lets loose.  The harmonies soar and the piano comes alive.  The director and accompanist are encouraged to work on some improvisations for the solo and first choral section.  Have fun with it and rock.
