Irvin Berlin’s “SNOW� from White Christmas was arranged for the Collins Classic Carolers Christmas 2004, my wife’s Christmas Caroling group, as a request from a Client. It sat in my Finale file not being able to be published until I found that it could now see the light of day thanks to ArrangeMe. The performance here is by Rhapsody of Plano West Sr. High, Plano, Texas. Sarah Council, my daughter in law, is the director. Since the Collins Classic Carolers sang a cappella as they entertained each Christmas, this arrangement is for SATB, a cappella. Though Jesus raised the dead in his mortal life,
He would die a shameful death caused by angered strife.
On that fateful day when clouds covered sun,
Jesus’ enemies rejoiced, thinking they had won.

This Friday, dark like stain, never came again.
Jesus Christ was in the tomb, killed by spiteful men.
Soon a miracle honored all mankind:
Jesus burst the bonds of death, bringing life past time.

Christ’s resurrection claims all will live once more.
His gift renders unity for each soul restored.
This is Christ’s pure love giv’n on Sunday morn.
Now, throughout eternity, new life will be born.

Hereafter we will praise Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Thanking Him for giving us life forevermore.

When I seek this Baby each day.

I don’t have to be a wiseman to bring Him a gift like pure gold.
But I can give honor and gratitude longer

A seasonal smash hit that has a place in all our hearts, this arrangement of Howard Blake's 'Walking in the Air' (from the classic animated film 'The Snowman' [1982]) is written for unaccompanied SATB choir and is intended for choirs and carolling groups of an experience level somewhere between beginner and intermediate. The parts are written in a way that is straightforward to learn & sing whilst remaining really fun & interesting.
