The King, by Dennis McCorkle, is a contemporary pop-rock musical of the first two kings of Israel, Saul ben Kish and David ben Jesse and explores the contrasting lives and outcome of each man’s choices in life. [1 Chronicles 15:2-3 - Then David said: ‘None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites; for them has Yahweh chosen to carry the ark of Yahweh, and to minister to Him for ever.’ 3 And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh to its place, which he had prepared for it.] [1 Chronicles 15:28 - Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Yahveh with shouting, and with sound of the horn, and with trumpets, and with melodic cymbals sounding aloud with harps and lyres.] DAVID, rethinking what he has done assembles the LEVITES and assigns them their duties to move the Ark according to the Law [Jerusalem is Calling Us Home – Levites and David]. Also included with your order is our new 20 page catalog of over 150 titles at no additional charge.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.953621 Composed by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP). Celtic,Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 19 pages. Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) #4807817. Published by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) (A0.953621). One of the most powerful passages in scripture set to music! Good length for an anthem, interesting and idiomatic use of flute and harp, nice mix of beautiful melodic passages and crunchy bits!A Setting of Philippians 2:5-11 from New Revised Standard VersionFor SATB chorus, flute, and clàrsach (Scottish lever harp) or harp or pianoDuration approximately 5:00 The Letter of Paul to the Philippians 2:5-11 (NRSV)*Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death - even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. *New Revised Standard Version Bible, copyright © 1989 National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. All rights reserved.Composed by Adrienne Inglis in 2014 and premiered in 2014 in Austin, Texas, by the Westminster Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Choir, In Heaven and on Earth for SATB chorus, flute, and clàrsach, draws inspiration from the tune Love is the Cause of my Mourning from The Caledonian Pocket Companion Book 1, p. 27. The piece opens with the tune altered to G mixolydian mode. As the word exploited appears, a sinister-sounding E flat enters the harmony. Open octaves between soprano and bass show the emptying, followed by a shift to E phrygian mode with the word slave. Several dissonances emerge as the narrative gets darker. The flute and clàrsach represent chaos or hell with an aleatoric interlude of extended techniques involving tongue rams, flutter tonguing, multiphonics, spoken syllables, and lever glissandi. The harp then joyfully proclaims the new tonality of G major in a fanfare to introduce the text of praise and exaltation. The original source tune returns harmonically restored to G major.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.953617 Composed by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP). Contemporary,Easter,Multicultural,Sacred,World. Octavo. 15 pages. Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) #4569683. Published by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) (A0.953617). Ideal for contemplative, Lenten, memorial services, easy/moderate for SATB (no divisi) with harp or keyboard Darkness As Light is loosely based on a Venezuelan pasaje rhythm with modified Dorian modality typical of Andean mestizo music. Psalm 139:1-12, 23-24 occurs in the 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time in Year A of the Common Lectionary. Psalm 139: 7-12 Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me fast. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night,’ even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you. SATB choir, with optional piano, harp, or orchestra - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8183-E Composed by Kirke F. Mechem. Christmas. 6 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8183-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8183-E). Kirke Mechem composed the Seven Joys of Christmas for the Chamber Singers of the San Francisco College for Women. He set out with the goal of setting lesser-known, but none the less attractive, carols from different countries in order to paint different aspects of joy for the Christmastide. He employed the number Seven because it is considered a magical number (as it is applies to mystery in the liturgy). The final carol, God bless the master of this house, is an amusing combination of all the carols in the composition, in addition to other well-known Christmastide melodies. In certain passages, two, three, even four different carols are being performed at the same time!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576180 Composed by David Warin Solomons. Contemporary,Opera,World. Octavo. 21 pages. David Warin Solomons #4555. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576180). ATON is a stage play written by Manfred Strolz and Otmar Rützler which represents Egypt in the time of the Pharoahs but seen through the eyes of modern theatre directors and actors. The modern scenes are spoken but the Egyptian scenes require music, so Manfred and Otmar asked me to write the music for these. The music is composed for various forces as the play progresses, from the full orchestra (woodwind, strings, harp, piano, timpani) and choir down to more intimate moments with single voice or duets, flute and classical guitar or with single voice and bassoon. For each section the pdf file contains score and parts and the sound sample is an electronic preview. As I write 16 sections have been composed, but more are to come - please just search for Aton in due course for the full picture.
