This is a delightful setting of the text by Christina Rossetti. It is an accessible piece for intermediate choir, and will appeal to all ages. This piece was one of several pieces chosen to be Recommended by The C7 Prize for choral music. 

It is written in a classical style, but also has a modal quality and uses hemiolas for rhythmic interest. The text celebrates the joy of Spring, and the fact that it can be a time of personal growth. The music reflects this in a lilting theme that builds to an exuberant finale.

This is a great choral setting of the well-known pop song, by the Canadian pop band Barenaked Ladies. It is very rhythmic (with some challenging rhythms, as in the original) but relatively simple melodically and harmonically. It is a great piece to give your choir some practice in rhythmic work. The song has an upbeat message that is sure to resonate with both choir and audience!

This arrangement is for SATB (some divisi in the soprano part) with piano. The duration is just under 3 minutes. There are short optional solos in the middle of the piece. The recording here is a MIDI file, but you can easily find the song on YouTube.

This arrangement of this beautiful song for SATB choir with piano really takes advantage of the lush harmonies in the original. The arrangement gives your choir the chance to show off their warm, rich vocal sounds - each section of the choir gets to sing by themselves for 8 bars, and in general the melody is shared between vocal parts, which often makes a lovely change for the altos and basses!

The duration is just under 2'30, and the piece is very manageable for choir and pianist. Your choir will love singing it and your audience will love hearing it!
