Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596519 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Latin,Multicultural,World. 14 pages. Juan Maria Solare #3485699. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596519). Juan María Solare Lorem ipsum for choir a cappella SATB Audio: https://soundcloud.com/juan-maria-solare/lorem-ipsum-choir-northern-spirit-solare Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uyp8F6qTqw Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, incididunt ut labore et dolore magna umbra. Nulla sed leo. Nullam sed purus. Nulla vitae diam sapien. Nulla gravida pretium magna. Tellus, ventus et ignis. Verbum sapientes defendit.     The Lorem ipsum is a text in pseudo-Latin, loosely inspired in a writing of Cicero[1] and that since the XVI century is used in publishing as filler text. Today it is used with a similar function, in electronic documents or web design. There are several versions of this text (of variable length), all them used to begin in the same way (Lorem ipsum … elit) but goon in different fashions. Therefore, I also invented part of the text, taking care of the metric, structural parallelisms and some hidden allusion to popular music (Tellus, ventus et ignis is Earth, Wind and Fire). The last sentence has even some sense: Verbum sapientes defendit means that the word defends to those who know. In the coda, since it is vocally much more practical to finish in m than in t, I changed the last word: dolor sit ipsum, what carries the existentialist message that pain is oneself.   Musically, the form is a rondo, with an obsessive refrain (based on the sentence we are commenting) which reappears without modifications.   This piece was composed in Bremen (Germany) on 18, 19 and 20 May 2015 (as if from a handbook: one day the text, the following day the music and on the third one big adjustements and the definitive precisions). Lorem ipsum is dedicated to Gonzalo Martín Saldívar. Premiere by the chamber choir Northern Spirit, conducted by Jaret Choolun, tenth year anniversary concert1 (19th November 2016) at the kleiner Saal of Die Glocke, Bremen, Germany. (https://www.northernspirit.de/kammerchor-bremen/jubilaeumskonzert-in-der-glocke/)First performance in Latin America: Coro Estable Municipal de Tandil, conducted by Annele Moroder, during the opening concert of the Third Argentine Choral Congress and the First Latin American Choral Congress (Choral Art and Identity) on May 24, 2018 (at 8:15 PM) at the Tandil Museum of Fine Arts, Argentina (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uyp8F6qTqw). Juan María Solare [1] de Finnibus Bonorum et Malorum (On the Ends of Good and Evil), sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33, written in the year 45 before Christ. This book -a treatise on ethic theory- was very popular during the Renaissance.

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.933332 Composed by Juan Carlos Guerra González. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 25 pages. Juan Carlos Guerra Gonzalez #5829053. Published by Juan Carlos Guerra Gonzalez (A0.933332). Vocal Score for my Salmo 8 for SSAATTBB - Piano Full Score available.Full Score / Parts available.Text in Spanish.Salmo 8 is my homage to creation.  In my years as Assistant Conductor and Pianist for the National Choir in El Salvador, I enjoyed working and performing works like this one. I wrote this piece with tho main ideas in mind: first, to create with easy harmonies that could appeal to anybody and second to be able to create a work that can be performed in concert halls. Conductors and Choristers will find interesting (and challenging) rhythmic patterns that give freshness to the work and invites listeners to enjoy the music. Text is from the Bible. The work could be performed at churches and concert halls. The work is scored for SSAATTBB, Piano, and String Orchestra. This vocal score includes a piano reduction for rehearsal purposes. Here's the program note text in Spanish:Esta obra es mi humilde homenaje a la creación. Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1267134 By Peggy Lee. By Joe McCoy. Arranged by Michael Thomas Coull. 20th Century,Blues,Contemporary,Jazz,Standards. 10 pages. MTC Publishing #859768. Published by MTC Publishing (A0.1267134). Why Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money, Too) - Choral Arrangement for SATB and Piano arranged by Michael Thomas CoullWhy Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money Too!) was originally recorded as Weed Smoker's Dream and is an American blues and jazz-influenced pop song written by ‘Kansas Joe’ McCoy and Herb Morand in 1936.  Both men are given composer credits on the original 78 record label, although Morand’s name is misspelled. In 1936, the Harlem Hamfats recorded the Weed Smoker’s Dream.  Band member Joe McCoy later rewrote the song, refining both the composition and lyrics.  The new tune, titled Why Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money Too!), was recorded by Lil Green in 1941, with guitar by William ‘Big Bill’ Broonzy.  The minor key twelve-bar blues song, with a few chord substitutions, proved popular and quickly became a jazz standard. With its roots in blues music, the song originally dealt with a marijuana smoker reminiscing about lost financial opportunities.  After it was rewritten, it took on the perspective of the female partner, chastising her man for his irresponsible ways:  ‘Why don't you do right, like some other men do?  Get out of here and get me some money too!’A wonderful bluesy arrangement for full SATB choir with piano accompaniment, not just fun for the choir to sing, but also one the audience will really enjoy too.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1237677 By Neil Sedaka. By Neil Sedaka and Phil Cody. Arranged by John Fries. 20th Century,Pop,Standards. 13 pages. John Fries #833181. Published by John Fries (A0.1237677). Please contact me by email at jfries@ptd.net to make a special request or to find out all that I have to offer and to express your comments or concerns. Thanks, John.  Laughter in the Rain is a song composed and recorded by Neil Sedaka, with lyrics by Phil Cody. It includes a 20-second saxophone solo by Jim Horn. The opening chord of the chorus was based on that used by John in Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which Sedaka has described as a drop-dead chord. He combined that with a pentatonic melody inspired by Aaron Copland. Cody claims to have written the lyrics in about five minutes after smoking marijuana and falling asleep under a tree for a couple of hours.
