This piece is dedicated to my great-aunt, Bessie Murdock. It reminds me of her gentle soul and nearness to God in all parts of her life. 

This choral selection is an arrangement of the Tallis Canon by Thomas Tallis. This song includes a section featuring the men’s voices and then the women’s voices. The voices sing in parts and later in a round. You will recognize the words from the doxology that are included in verse four. The fifth and final verse is new and concludes this selection. I hope you’ll enjoy having your choir sing “All Praise To You, My God, This Night�.

This song was written for the church choir at First Presbyterian Church of Spruce Pine in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. It can be used during the lighting of the advent wreath. There are two extra verses that can be utilized for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
