Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.719521 Composed by Curtis Hanson. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 10 pages. Curtis Hanson #2032827. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719521). Nunc Dimittis is a concert setting of Simeon's expression upon seeing the child Jesus before his own death. Set for SATB chorus and organ (orchestral score and parts available separately), it begins in free chant before stating the text in the basses with an original melody. The optional middle section is based on Regina Fryxell's interpretation with permission of Augsburg Fortress. The piece concludes with a grand four-part restatement of the original melody followed by the Gloria Patri. Though perhaps best suited in a concert setting, it could also be sung liturgically, in full or in part, in a worship setting.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.921768 Composed by Lisa Waites. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 2 pages. Servant Song Music and Ministry #6629007. Published by Servant Song Music and Ministry (A0.921768). We're Forgiven (God of Grace) was originally scored in a Piano/Guitar/Voice format, but for this Advent/Christmas season, Servant Song Music & Ministry has produced this full SATB Choral arrangement, as well! This particular arrangement is suitable for Beginner and Early Intermediate Church Choirs and Worship Teams, including very small ensembles. If you don't have any men in your choir, you can turn the score into a Soprano/Alto 2-part version pretty easily, too.   This short, accessible piece of worship music was written as a liturgical response for use during Christian services during the Advent/Christmas/Epiphany seasons of the church calendar. It returns the work of the people TO the people, placing the Words of Assurance into the mouths and hearts of the congregation and/or choir, rather than having the minister alone speaking the words of absolution/assurance after the Prayer of Confession. Set in a simple key for beginning accompanists and including chord charts for guitarists (or pianists who prefer to play by reading the melody notes in the RH and playing by chord symbol with their LH), this song has been set in a perfect vocal range for congregational voices and/or church choirs. Non-liturgical churches have also appreciated this piece as a way for congregants to respond musically to services on themes such as God's Grace, Forgiveness, Reconciliation, Prodigals, Mercy, and also throughout Advent or whenever the pastor is focusing on themes of Hope, Peace, Joy, Love, etc. Please don't make illegal copies of this score; it is the primary way I recover the costs of arranging, engraving and publishing new music. I work on the honour system. If you truly can't afford to purchase copies of this piece for each of your singers/musicians, please contact me via email or my Facebook music page, and I'll make sure your group is taken care of. To God be the glory!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.748682 Composed by Anonymous. Arranged by Mark Reeves. A Cappella,Christmas,Classical,Latin,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 9 pages. Mark Reeves #3638835. Published by Mark Reeves (A0.748682). Gaudete for SATB choir and pianoThis Christmas Carol first appeared in print in a Finnish publication of 1582 entitled Piæ Cantiones Ecclesiasticæ et Scholasticæ Veterum Episcoporum. The æolian modal polyphony and Medieval Latin text suggest a much earlier date of composition originating from central Europe; the plainsong melody of the verses is derived from liturgical sources of the same period and was not included in the original document. This new arrangement of Gaudete is based closely on the original music and text. However, the original key of G minor has been transposed to D minor to create more variety in the voicing, yet remaining faithful to the original vocal parts. The piano accompaniment in the refrain is simply an amalgamation of the voices and therefore, in order to create a pure a cappella sound in performance, the piano part may be omitted and used solely for rehearsal purposes. As the verses were originally sung unaccompanied, the piano part in this arrangement has been devised to compliment the plainsong melody, but of course may be omitted in performance if preferred.Originally, each verse would probably have been sung by a solo tenor voice. However, in this arrangement, each of the four verses has been allocated to a different soloist. This should create the effect of a gradual build-up in the intensity of sound, culminating in the final fortissimo refrain.About the ArrangerMark Reeves is a professional pianist, piano teacher and music arranger, with many years of experience.
