Nessun dorma (None shall sleep) is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot and is one of the best-known arias in all of  opera.

Although Nessun dorma has long been a staple of operatic recitals, Luciano Pavarotti popularized the piece well beyond the world  of opera with his many recordings and live performances. Nessun  dorma became his signature aria. Nessun dorma also appeared on the best-selling classical album of all time, The  Three Tenors in Concert.

However, our favorite  version will always be the soul-infused rendition by Aretha  Franklin during the 1998 Grammy  Awards, in which she sang in place of Pavarotti when he was unable to perform due to throat problems.

This arrangement, for mixed choir (SATB), organ, brass quintet and timpani/suspended cymbal, includes the  aria, as well as the final chorus of the opera. Brass and organ play the  entirety of the aria, and choir begins to sing at the final chorus, to dramatic  effect.

This arrangement includes a  full score, organ/vocal score with English text, percussion and brass parts (trumpet parts are provided for both B-flat and C; the percussion part is designed for one player). Vocal score may be freely  copied for all members of the choir. Perfect for any concert, and it makes a great  encore, as well!

Bambino dalle stelle (Child of the Stars )is a choral arrangement based on the traditional Italian Christmas carol Tu scendi dalla stelle (From Starry Skies Descending).

Tu scendi dalla stelle is amongst the oldest of Christmas songs in Italy. The original version was written in the mid-1700s in Naples by the Catholic Bishop of Sant'Agata dei Goti, Alfonso Maria de’ Ligouri. At that time it was called Quanno nascette Ninno and was written in the Neapolitan dialect in the style of a pastorale.

The song was later re-written in Italian by Pope Pius IX and thereafter it became famous as a Christmas carol all over the world.

Originally containing seven verses, today’s performances of the carol in Italy generally include only the first two verses. Notable recordings and performances of the carol include those by Sergio Franchi, Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti.

This English language arrangement has been extended to four verses. Verse 1 and 2 are adaptations of the first two verses of the original; the third verse tells of the adoration of the shepherds and the wise men; and the fourth is based on some ideas inspired by the remaining verses of the original version.
