This First Spring Morning is set to the words of Henry Thoreau. It includes a narrator in the middle who praises the Spring.  It is from a collection called 'WALDEN' (titled after his book about his stay there) which consists of readings and musical settings of words by all by Henry Thoreau. This is one of the sixteen songs from that collection.
