Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.701457 Composed by Kevin G. Pace, Kathryn W. Hales. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 3 pages. Kevin G. Pace #3125371. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.701457). An original hymn with text by Kathryn Hales below.YouTube video: https://youtu.be/w68JlvntMjcI did not see the vision, Nor dream a prophet’s dream, I only saw the barren desert Stretch forth upon the scene.   I was not there when Brigham’s cane Touched the virgin ground Naming the spot the Lord had shown Where a temple would be found.   I did not hear the Lord’s own voice As over ocean waves I tossed, Nor spared the death of loved ones dear As the vast plains I crossed.   I only felt the Holy Spirit Telling me the work was true, So I obeyed the prophetic words Until my trek was through.   I helped dig the rocky soil Before the foundation was laid Then with shovel filled the gaping hole Before Johnston’s army stayed.   I did not see the temple’s spires I only saw the walls, I only shaped the granite stones With hammer, chisel, maul.   I coaxed oxen through the mud To move stones down a mountain side, I watched our leaders grow old in years, No temple finished before they died.   Now soon I too will join them Though I’ve labored oh so long, I’ll not see the rising spires Or sing praises in Hosanna song.   I’m just a common earthly man, A laborer in a cause so great, To generations yet unborn, I’m not one you’ll appreciate.   Through the years I’ve toiled and sweat, Shared blood and grief and tears, Obeyed the prophet’s call to serve Listened in faith, not fear.   Please do not take for granted As you walk through these carved doors, Or hear the echo of carpenters From stairs or roof or floors   The love and work that went into Many years of toil and prayer, Feel our spirits in the halls As you enter there.   Though the structure’s end I’ll not see, To others who this path may trod, Go forth with diligence and faith Till we finish the work of God.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.894408 Composed by Zack Richards. Holiday,Patriotic,Sacred,Spiritual,World. Octavo. 6 pages. Zack Richards #5821179. Published by Zack Richards (A0.894408). I wrote this piece in response to the #BlackLivesMatter Protests across the United States and world during the early summer of 2020. The extreme extent of peaceful protests and violent riots demonstrated the desperate need for change in a way I had not witnessed before. I knew quickly that I wanted to write music in some sort of response to the situation, but I struggled at first to find my voice within the movement. I am a white male and have experienced the privilege that comes with it. No matter how much I sympathized or understood the struggles of minorities in our culture, I knew I could not possibly bring the full meaning of it through my music, as I could never really experience the trials they have faced constantly for so long. So instead I decided to write words and music that reflected how I hoped things would be going forward after this movement. I wanted this to be an anthem for those who have suffered through real oppression, in any form. While there are some religious undertones in the text I chose, I tried to find words that could resonate with anyone, reaching beyond color, culture, belief, orientation, age, or any other dividing label. I tried to write in regard to one thing we all have in common, humanity. I hope I was able to accomplish this. The anthem can be done in parts or unison or as a solo. It can also be done with or without accompaniment.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.998890 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 21st Century,A Cappella,Advent,Christmas,Sacred. 6 pages. Robert A. Howard #6496055. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.998890). This carol for unaccompanied SATB choir sets a well known but anonymous 15th Century text. The five verses pass through a sequence of keys, returning to the opening key for the final one. Each verse begins with a simple melody, initially stated alone, then appearing in various canonic forms on subsequent verses. This is then always followed by a rich chordal passage of 'added note' harmonies, in a reverential and meditative manner. The piece is designed for most good choirs to be able to perform unaccompanied, and parts invariably move by semitone or tone movement. It is appropriate for any size of 4-part choir, including school, student, community, church and cathedral choirs.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1102947 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 3 pages. Kevin G. Pace #706274. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1102947). A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball. Text: When life seems unsure, with no lasting cure, Questions come about turning faith to doubt. When you feel alone, and no care is shown, When it’s hard to stand, take God’s steady hand. Take his hand! Take his hand when life’s not what was planned. Take his hand; He’ll lend his strength—He can. Just take his hand. Oh, take his hand. When in dark despair, when no one is there, When belief is small and all trust is stalled, When cast down with shame, hear his holy Name. When life’s filled with fear, know He’s very near. He is near! He is near and to Him you are dear. He is near and He will dry your tears. Oh, He is near. Know He is near. When sore trials come, when shade covers sun, When all hope is past and belief won’t last, When God’s arm is bare and His voice seems rare, There is only One. Know that He will come. He will come! He will come when senses feel so numb. He will come when blessings seem undone. Oh, He will come. Know He will come. Take his hand! When it’s hard to stand, oh take his hand, for He is near! When life’s filled with fear, know He is near, and He will come! There is only One. Oh, He will come. There is only One and He will come.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.976710 Composed by Robert Myers. Christian,Concert,Contemporary,Easter,Sacred. Octavo. 10 pages. WheatMyer Music #4767525. Published by WheatMyer Music (A0.976710). It Is Not Death to Die is a new setting of French poet Henri Abraham César Malan's Non, ce n'est pas mourir as translated by George Washington Bethune and adapted for this work. Why this text? It first came to my notice shortly after the passing of Billy Graham, who was known to paraphrase D. L. Moody,   Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I   am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.Graham's bold proclamation and Malan's poetry motivated me to focus anew on the resurrection, re-remembering it as the pivotal element of the Christian faith. For if there is no resurrection, Paul says in 1 Cor 15, our faith is useless. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead! Unfortunately, singing about heaven has, perhaps, been neglected of recent decades. We seem to have focused more on the already to the detriment of the not yet. But it is important to remember that this life is not all there is! Quoting Paul again, the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us (Rom 8:18). Yet, if Christ delays, the grim inevitability of our transition into eternity is a certain experience we all face. Malan's poetry so poignantly and eloquently captures this tension that it compelled me to compose a fresh musical setting that attempts to captures the mixture of dread and hope borne out in the acclamation that death is swallowed up in victory! I pray that this setting aids the Church to remember the great hope and promise Christ has granted us:   O Death, where is your victory?    O Death, where is your sting?_______________________________________________________________________________________________The music opens with a C# diminished chord in a very still and somber texture reflective of grief. The text is introduced with the first of two main motives, a rising 4-note outline of B minor in a triple repetition of It Is Not Death. As each stanza proceeds the music concludes on the second motive, a 5-note descending span of a minor 7th in Bb Lydian. The energy and mood of the music gradually shift over the five stanzas, as the focus moves from this life to the next; the texture thickens, the harmony expands, and the dynamic grows into the music’s pinnacle on reign with You on high! The music closes on a reprise of the opening section, simultaneously mindful of our mortality and our eternity.

SATB choir and Piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.1.3610-E Composed by Kyle Pederson. African American Heritage. Instrument part. 22 pages. Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital #1.3610-E. Published by Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital (MQ.1.3610-E). English. From the arranger, Kyle Pederson To me, spirituals are the most powerful type of music. Spirituals were birthed and rooted in the experience of chattel slavery in the United States—and arose out of, as Arthur C. Jones asserts, “deeply meaningful, archetypically human experiences, relevant not only to the specific circumstances of slavery but also to women and men struggling with issues of justice, freedom, and spiritual wholeness in all times and places.†The original text of Soon Ah Will Be Done is as follows: Soon ah will be done with the troubles of the world (repeat) Goin’ home to live with God No more weeping and a-wailing (repeat) Goin’ home to live with God I want t’ meet my mother (repeat) Goin’ home to live with God I want t’ meet my Jesus (repeat) Goin’ home to live with God When I sang this spiritual growing up, I was struck by both the withering sorrow and expectant hope throughout. The melody and emotion has stuck with me since. When approaching my own arrangement, I hoped to honor the voice of the original writers and their experience of slavery, and I also sought to extend a voice to people today who are suffering from oppression and discrimination. I hoped an appropriate way to honor the experience of the original writers might be to invite the contemporary listener to envision and commit to a better, more just world today—a world of inclusion, radical kindness, compassion, love, and grace—a world where we have the courage to champion the inherent dignity and value of all people, a world where we will be done with all the ways we deny a person’s worth. A world where “heaven has come to earth.†In this arrangement, spoken word is incorporated throughout, intended to heighten the intensity of the performance, and meant to give a sense of immediacy to the challenge for the choir and audience to work together for justice, equity, and wholeness. Spoken word has often been used as the language of protest—and I include it intentionally as a way of giving voice to the choir members (and listener)—where all can stand in solidarity against oppression and injustice. If desired, choir members are encouraged to write their own spoken word text that speaks to issues of inequity and injustice in their own communities. I am writing this program note not long after George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, MN, on May 25, 2020. As a Minneapolis area resident for the past 25 years, I want to take a more active role in working towards justice in my community. All proceeds received from the sale and performance of Soon We Will Be Done will be directed to ISAIAH—a multi-racial, state-wide, nonpartisan coalition of faith communities fighting for racial and economic justice in Minnesota. You can read more about the phenomenal work ISAIAH is doing at isaiahmn.org.

Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1381069). An allusion to Lamentations 1:12 (Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow....), Have, Have Ye No Regard is a setting for solo baritone, SATB voices, and organ of Robert Herrick's (1591-1674) poem, His Saviour's Words, Going to the Cross:Have, have ye no regard, all ye Who pass this way, to pity Me, Who am a man of misery? A man both bruis'd and broke, and one Who suffers not here for Mine own, But for My friends' transgression! Ah, Sion's daughters, do not fear The Cross, the Cords, the Nails, the Spear, The Myrrh, the Gall, the Vinegar, For Christ, your loving Saviour, hath Drunk up the wine of God's fierce wrath; Only there's left a little froth, Less for to taste than for to show What bitter cups had been your due, Had he not drank them up for you.©Copyright 2024 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music. Christian,Christmas,Contest,Festival,Holiday,Praise & Worship. 7 pages. Kathleen Holyoak #1087076. Published by Kathleen Holyoak (A0.1512026). This lovely Christmas title will touch your heart with lyrics by GARY CROXALL.  Kathleen Holyoak and Gary Croxall teamed up with music and words that visually capture the image of Mary and Joseph as they are unable to find a single suitable place for Mary to birth the Lord.  It appears they will fail to find any shelter at all, even though the beasts and birds and nature have places to rest.  Desperate and rejected, they are inevitably driven to the most humble place imaginable for the birth of the creator of the universe, a stall housing beasts with a stone feeding trough or manger for a cradle.  In essence, God must seek refuge among His beasts and not what you would expect for a king, let alone the King of kings!  So, one place, an undesirable place is found in old Bethelehem.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB divisi) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1347140 By Charlie Puth. By Charlie Puth, Daniel Smyers, and Jordan Reynolds. Arranged by Jacob Klingsten. 21st Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Pop. 14 pages. Jacob Klingsten #931792. Published by Jacob Klingsten (A0.1347140). That's Not How This Works by Charlie Puth is a 2023 pop hit with chilling harmonies and a confrontational message on setting expectations. This arrangement is for SATB a cappella groups or choirs and sits at an intermediate level for the high school/collegiate age. While there isn’t a vocal percussionist part in the score, it is recommended to perform this arrangement with one, as the score indicates entrances and exits for the VP.This arrangement features three soloists, all with their own respective line in the score. If one wishes to, the third solo part can be merged into the other two solo parts. While this piece appears to be difficult, the fairly repetitive nature, mostly homophonic texture, and limited range of the vocal parts eases the learning process.Additional Details: Key: A Major 14 Pages Length: 2m 43s Ranges: Soloist 1: F#3-E5 Soloist 2: F#3-E5 Soloist 3: F#3-A4 Soprano: C4-E5 Alto: G#3-A4 Tenor: D3-E4 Bass: F#2-A3 (Optional D2) If you would like the score changed to fit your ensemble's needs, the practice tracks to this piece once purchased, or if you are looking to have a new arrangement commissioned for your ensemble, please let Jacob Klingsten, the arranger, know at jacobkarranging@gmail.com. He will change the score to your needs (within reason) and provide practice tracks at no additional charge to your purchase, and he typically charges $50-75 per commissioned arrangement. Jacob would love to work with you and your ensemble!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.928292 By Amy Winehouse Featuring Ghostface Killah. By Amy Winehouse. Arranged by Jane Berry. A Cappella,R & B,Soul. Octavo. 7 pages. Jane Berry #5334679. Published by Jane Berry (A0.928292). A fun and accessible arrangement for an ensemble of any size. This arrangement is for SATB choir or small ensemble and includes notation for cajon accompaniment that could easily be adapted for vocal percussion but the arrangement can be done without either as well. This is a fun sing with one verse requesting a molto legato style to be used in order to create a bit of a comedic serious choral moment in the context of an otherwise fun song that should be sung in a relaxed popular style.
