Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.890616

Composed by Orson Pratt Huish. Arranged by Stan Swim. Christian,Easter,Sacred. Octavo. 6 pages. Stanford Swim #4611509. Published by Stanford Swim (A0.890616).

As originally composed by Orson Pratt Huish, Come Unto Jesus has a 6/8 rhythm.  This arrangement changes the meter to 4/4 so that the piece can begin as a quiet prayer and end as a triumphant march, to match the content of Huish's text.  Scored for SATB choir, a soloist can be used for the opening and closing phrases.  The piano accompaniment becomes very full for the last verse, so a minimum of eight voices are suggested with larger choirs being more effective.  The piece begins in A-flat and ends in A-major.  The choral parts are not overly difficult; the piano accompaniment is more demanding.  Tempo should be martial for the final verse, 116-120.

SKU: A0.1012873

Composed by Dean H. Hamill and Orson Pratt Huish. Arranged by Dean H Hamill. Christian,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 6 pages. D H Hamill #6025819. Published by D H Hamill (A0.1012873).

For general worship services, this anthem combines an original setting of LDS scripture from the book of Jacob and the beautiful 19th Century hymn providing both a calming and refreshing message that lifts listener's spirits.  Set for SATB with piano accompaniment it does have some challenging rhythmic treatments in the hymn.  Performance time is five minutes.  Please contact me with comments and reactions to your performance.  My email is dean.hamill@hushmail.com.
